He asked gingerly, "scared ya didn't?"
Poppy was dumbfounded. Her eyes were still inhumanly wide and her breathing insane. She'd been told before that Ruen was dangerous but she'd never expected that he had bloody spider limps sprouting out of his back. Was his inner beast some kind of tarantula? It sounded awfully powerful in her head- An enormous tarantula. A part of her sneered in jealousy even though she'd known before that Ruen was most likely a strong Preternatural child. Great all-seeing-eyes, some people just have it all, jealousy reared its ugly head within her.
People scattered like cockroaches running from flames. Yelling and shouting echoed through the club from the commotion Ruen had caused.
"Ruen!" Poppy instinctively yelled when a slim bullet cut through the air and traveled towards Ruen's chest. The sound of a gun firing resounded in the club being vacated with the speed of light.
Ruen's smile fell and creases grew on his forehead. Effortlessly another limb this time not shaped like a tarantula limb but a well structured wing with thick black feathers stopped the traveling bullet by slapping it away, changing the trajectory to the ground.
The wing quickly journeyed back into Ruen's shoulder blade as if it never existed. "Wow…." The starstruck short brunette breathed not minding that she was standing in a dangerous zone.
Ruen let out a low growl. LET US KILL! LET US SHED BLOOD! LET ALL DIE! Numerous voices announced with a crazed angry tone. One of his eye turned huge with the pupil thinning like a dragon. One eye was maroon and the other dragon-like. Ruen cast his gaze unto the perpetrator who fired the bullet.
A Vampire- one of the two guys guarding Mr Angelo shot another bullet at Ruen. "Bitch…." Ruen muttered, slapping the bullet yet again with his tarantula limb. The Vampire shot another gun but it was slapped away again.
The Vampire tried firing again but the gun was out of bullets. His hands trembled realizing he was out of bullets, he started edging back straying away from the man he was supposed to protect. "Demon," Ruen called out in a much deeper voice. "I hate Vampires." He sneered, steps increasing towards the Vampire bodyguard.
The Vampire was running now. Running as far as his legs could take him. "Ha ha ha ha ha," A brown skinned young man who had now entered a state amongst certain supernaturals called bloodlust laughed dryly yet almost hysterical. "Gotcha." Ruen commented when a stranger limb in the shape of a clear green tail with a spearhead for a tip shot from his behind and wrapped it around the neck of the Vampire bodyguard.
"Alexander!" A much more mature and sultry voice than Poppy's called out. Both Poppy and Ruen snapped their heads back.
Poppy saw a lady with lemon colored hair, wearing the most lewd clothing Poppy had ever seen.
"Alex what are you doing, let go of him!" The lemon colored hair lady commanded.
Ruen tilted his head like a little puppy and his cold expression calmed, looking towards the lemon colored lady he pouted almost as if he was heeding her command. "How dare you…." The calm expression suddenly changed to that of a devious green snake in the green grass. The tarantula limb shot out to puncture the upper stomach of Mr Angelo lifting him effortlessly off the ground like his bodyguard
"How dare you assume you can order me, Micajah?" The dragon-like eye flickered from pure black to dragon-like orb to the normal maroon eye and then ended in pure white.
"Hmm?" Ruen murmured, squeezing his tail harder and digging his limb further into Mr Angelo. The spearhead tail played mindlessly with the chin of the Vampire bodyguard.
Micajah sighed. "Alex, you're not yourself. Your inner beasts are awakening and if you let them run wild you'll go even crazier."
"Shut up." Ruen whined even throwing his head back childishly and squeezing the tarantula limb inserted into Mr Angelo deeper.
"Alex, you have to come to your senses."
"Inner beasts? You have more than one inner beast?" A perplexed Poppy asked with her jaw down and her legs stuck in one position.
Ruen craned his neck to her with a conniving smile, his eyes flickering into empty sockets adding to the madness that filled his face. "Little Puppy, you're still here. See I killed that man you're scared of and I'll kill his accomplices too." Ruen talked with a touch of childishness to it almost as if it wasn't him that was truly talking.
Poppy's heart hammered so hard she brought her hand to her heart and squeezed it dramatically. "Mad bastard, you'll make me die of a heart attack,' She muttered, her heart slamming against her chest harder. She wasn't sure if it was fear, shock, or that twinge of excitement in the depths of her body.
"Die?" His voice turned gravel and both his limbs released the bodies they were holding up. "Why? Are you so scared your heart can't take it?" He was smiling ridiculously as if he was excited he was right- that she was scared.
She heaved, frowning. "You're insane," she replied, breathless.
"You've said that before, little one." He began stalking towards her, his limbs retracting back into him.
"Aren't I a bad man looking good in Dior?" He was referring to the Dior brand clothing he was wearing.
She bit her lips sniffing his scent that had for some reason become stronger than before. "Ngh," an unsuspecting moan escaped her.
"Heard that!" He pointed his bloody finger at her. "Well you have to keep your end of the deal and do what you promised."
Poppy blinked. "Deal? Promise?"
Ruen nodded. "You said if I proved I was scarier you'd come to my house with me."
Her big eyes went impossibly bigger. "I-I never said that!" Her feet were instinctively backing away from the mad man.
"You didn't?" He had a thoughtful look on his face. "Who cares anyways you have to come with me-"
"Alex its your inner beasts talking you can't kidnap-'' Micajah suddenly collapsed from being slapped on a pulse by a slimier and slimmer limb of Ruen's.
"I said shut up," he whined again. He turned to Poppy. "You're coming with me."
He was stepping closer with every step she backed away. She shook her head meekly. "I don't want to."
His maroon eyes flickering every odd shape and color stared her down. "Let me rephrase that, you must come with me and I'm absolutely not giving you an option unless its yes Ruen I'll come with you." The oddest thing wasn't Ruen murdering people and plotting kidnap but him talking too much.
"No." She breathed.
"I said no options besides yes."
"This is a kidnapping."
"And it's your fault."
She clutched her chest again. "My fault?"
He nodded, and he grabbed her by the legs and tossed her over his shoulder. She screamed. "This is kidnap!"
"Does it scare you?"
She began punching his chest. "I'm not afraid of you bastard!"
"That just makes me want to kidnap you even more and stop poking my back its not very attractive."
"And you can blame your "kidnap" on you bumping into me."
