Chapter 52 - Departure

As Ray reaches the entrance to the castle, he met the two princesses Pram and Belle who seem to be waiting for him.

Pram waves him over with a sweet smile. "I'm glad to see you here." She happily says with bright eyes.

"Since your here then you've prepared accordingly?" Belle inquires with sarcasm evident. Ray nodded without saying a word, then turned to Pram with a sweet smile.

"I'm glad to see you haven't changed your mind about coming." He spoke with words soaked in honey.

This left Belle frustrated and right as she was about to say something a butler came over. He introduced himself and lead the way to the Realm entrance.

All royal children were unaware of until decided otherwise by the king, due to concern for their safety. The King spoken of is waiting for them next to the Realm entrance with a solemn look on his face.

As the four reached the room that held the Realm entrance, they saw the King. he quickly perked up upon their arrival. "I'm happy to see your feet have grown no colder than compared to last we talked. Welcome my Princesses and welcome Ray Solaris." He exclaims with his demeanor quickly brightening.

Without waiting for them to speak he continues. "I will not take more of your time, as your eager for you departure, but I want to leave you with a few parting words." A sword of light manifested in his hands, which he resolutely slammed into the ground.

"Ray Solaris of the 8th branch, you have proven yourself worthy in my eyes for the chance to grow stronger. So do not disappoint grow stronger and become a pillar of this kingdom!" The King proclaimed with power filling each word.

The entrance seemed to react to these words slowly opening up like an eye. Tremendous divine poured out as the crack continued to widen, along with glorious radiance.

To the trio of children it was as if they were staring into the endless cosmos.

After staring for a few seconds Pram and Belle couldn't help but look away as if they stared at the sun for too long.

Ray on the other hand hadn't looked away for a second, even though it grew increasingly harder to comprehend what he was witnessing!

Soon it completely opened revealing a shining pearly white barrier. The King looked over to see Ray still staring while the girls had their heads turned away and their hands blocking their view.

"You can look now." the King announced with sweat dripping down his forehead and a smirk on his face. 'This kid has committed another unbelievable feat.'

Ray's gaze stood fixated on the gate.

Suddenly a hand of his shoulder brought him back to reality. "Don't try to understand it. Not even I can comprehend the things seen in the crack." The King said calmly.

He didn't realize what ray saw was already forgotten like something ripped it out of his mind.

The trio turned to face him however he quickly turned them back towards the entrance.

"Now that I have said what I've needed to open the entrance, let me say this. I request that you protect each other and come back alive. I believe in you Ray Solaris."

Then he pulled the heads of the princesses close to his chest. "I love you my sweet daughters." Ambrosius sweetly whispered as he kissed each of them on the head.

He then pushed them towards the portal without letting them say a word.

There a King was left alone with a tear falling from his eye.

------

As they went through the spatial crack reality seems to twist and shake in an unusual manner. The mind bending ended in only a few seconds with the trio appearing 10ft above a vast open field.

They hastily reached the ground with a thud!

"Oh the was w..." Ray started saying only to be interrupted by a torrent of vomit.

The second to get up was Belle. "Oh I'm nausea." She comments followed the sounds of a battle of holding in her stomach, which she quickly lost.

Pram got up and followed suit, not even managing to get a word out.

After the uncomfortable experience, they surveyed the area they were in.

There were no trees in eyesight just a long grassy plain, however the grass was a silvery blue color. It stands about calf high, and is dense enough to blot out the ground.

"Beautiful." Belle whispers while looking up at the sky. The other two hear her and followed her gaze to see a vast sea of stars clear as day.

The hung in the distant cosmos but felt close enough to grasp within hand.

However what really cemented the dream-like nature of this sky was the diamond blue and golden sun.

It was like the symbol of Ying and Yang was suspended in this starry canvas. The two colors of diamond and gold danced elegantly without moving an inch.

The diamond blue side pointed to the sky while the gold was pointing towards the ground.

However their fascination quickly died down when Ray notices something was off. The mana in the world wasn't being drawn to them.

"Do you guys feel that? Our breathe lacks mana." Ray inquires snapping the other two out of their trance.

After taking a second to feel the mana Belle commented. "Yeah, it also just sits on my skin instead of being absorbed."

They quickly became more aware of their surroundings.

"On second thought theirs no ambience, like a breeze or the sounds of birds and bug." Pram added which prompted Ray to get an idea. He created a orb of solar energy and shot it forward.

What occurred horrifies the trio. As soon as the orb leaves Ray's control area it stopped. There was no continued momentum or gravity or even dissipation.

All natural forces stopped acting on it!

What did that mean? Well there was no laws of motion! So it was the same as being frozen in space.

"We have to leave this area. this doesn't bode well." Belle says while she takes Pram's hand and begins heading, what she assumed was north.

Ray followed suit but quickly felt a sense of unease.

The still mana that accumulated on their skin began to slow them down. It was like trying to push forward against snow.

As they thought about changing direction.

That sense of unease became a sense of dread, when a statue suddenly arises from the ground.

This metal statue wasn't shaped like a creature but like an oval carved with intricate formation. three more metal elongated oval shaped pieces appeared from the ground. attaching to the side of the statue like arms. Two larger metal ovals appeared under the statue lifting it up.

It quickly became apparent.

"That's a GOLEM!" Belle yelled out!
