"So it has to be that..." Weylyn murmured.
"Whoever summoned the dark fiend...is surely within old town." Kinlor concluded.
"How could someone even want to harm old town in such a gruesome way?" Lieutenant Garrett asked in disbelief.
"Dark fiends do not just appear out of nowhere, there is no other explanation for it." Kinlor insisted.
"So, what can we do now? Without the offerings, the beast will breach the city walls. The offerings are the only thing that has held it back." Kevin said in a grim tone.
"The beast is a soul eater... that was what you called it." Weylyn thought in a low tone,
"How is it that it can be satiated with livestock? Animals do not have souls..." Weylyn pointed out.
"We do not know much about the beast... we do not know anything about it truly." Lieutenant Garrett replied with a shake of his head.
