The desperate cries of his brother Myona had Maedor pausing in his step right before he could cross the border of the Sunthron Forest.
Maedor's ears twitched slightly as he stood frozen in place, he could clearly hear Myona still calling out to him even when he was held back by other elves.
"Don't leave! Don't leave!" Myona cried out desperately as he struggled against his restrainers, wailing and screaming for Maedor.
Maedor's eyes fluttered closed, a terrible ache blooming in his chest as the cries of his brother tore at his heart.
Myona was so young, how could he fend off his much older restrainers and get to Maedor?
Maedor had already accepted the verdict, if he turned back now, how could he bear to leave?
For a short moment, Maedor just stood in place, unable to decide if he should go forwards or retreat backwards.
