Eva urged the horse to gallop faster. She did not have much time until Lucas was sure to catch up to her. She didn't know how to describe the feeling that she needed to leave immediately like it was of the utmost importance.
In fact, maybe she had been feeling this way for weeks. It was true that she had been excited to finally arrive at their new home, but there was something in the back of her mind that called her away. It was stronger when she was in the port town, but she was too exhausted from the trip to properly take stock of her body.
