The first mating night was always something that mates looked forward to. It was a time when they could consummate their bond and relax in their love with the blessing of the moon goddess and the universe.
However, that wasn't the case for Kaia and his mate. It was something they wished for, but that was all that could be accorded to them. Simple wishes. Wishes that would probably take a while to make real and frankly, it was haunting in so many ways.
"Come, let's sleep," Kaia said to his beloved when he noticed that she had been silent the whole time.
She had been looking out the windows, trying to figure out what it was that Odelia had been thinking of and why Odelia had been so certain. It was obvious that her mind was filled with so many things and Rania wanted to be free of them.
"Yeah, sure," Rania responded as she looked at her new beloved.
