"Can I come in?" Rania asked when she knocked on Dalrae's door. It was open and Dalrae was inside, sitting reading a book she had picked up to distract her from her friend's horrible reality. She despised it, but what else could she do anyway?
Dalrae didn't even look bothered by Rania's presence, instead, she ignored her best friend and went back to reading her books. Rania had made it clear that she didn't want to involve Dalrae in whatever was happening, so she wasn't even going to try and convince her otherwise.
Dalrae was done.
If Rania wanted to get killed, then she could damn well go on and do that, but Dalrae, she was done and done.
"You're the alpha," Dalrae responded coldly, and Rania flinched. She deserved that for everything that had been happening though. But no matter what happened, she couldn't have it any other way. Maybe this was her chance to say goodbye to Dalrae.
