Nick shrugged his shoulders as he said, " Then I guess I have no choice but to bring them to my apartment."
" I said——"
" I heard what you said," Nick interrupted her as he brushed the strand of his carefully styled hair. " I didn't say that I will bring her to the apartment that's owned by you, I was talking about my old apartment building. The lease of that building is still effective and I haven't sold that apartment either, so I will bring the mother and daughter there and take care of them."
" And when you say, you will take care of them… it means?"
Nick looked at her with a carefully blank expression and answered, " It means that I will take care of them. Personally."
