Scarlet's Point of View:
"Will you marry me, Scarlet?" His words caught me off guard, even though he just repeated them for the second time.
I didn't even need to think about it. Heck, I had waited for this question for a while now and I had lost hope he'd want it.
"Yes. Yes, Xavier." I smiled and replied, my voice coming out even more excited than I expected. My whole heart was beating loudly against my chest. It was something I never expected, at least not at this point—I thought he even hated me.
As soon as I said those words, he pulled me in a passionate kiss. His kiss lasted for almost over two minutes as we parted twice to catch our breath, our laughter filling the room with an ambience it had lacked for a long time. Oh, how I missed his laughter.
He finally stopped and smiled at me. His eyes were almost shining, he looked like he had everything he ever wanted. "I have one request though, Scarlet."
"Anything."
