Scarlet's Point of View:
"Xavier Valencian's apartment." I said to the driver and the car started. I sat back and exhaled, thinking of all the things I was going to say to him.
The drive ended quickly and I saw myself standing in front of his gate in a matter of seconds. My breath was uneven but that was expected, I didn't know what Xavier was going to say to me.
With heavy steps, I rang the doorbell. My heart beated against my chest as if it was gonna explode.
The door opened and Xavier looked at me with a shocked expression, which quickly changed to confused—followed by irritation.
"Why are you here?" He tried to sound cold but it still came out like a plead. I hated the fact that I had almost broke him, that I had taken away the self–confidence he once exuded so flawlessly. I had made him vulnerable, and then I had abused it to the limit. But I was going to make things right now.
