Scarlet's Point of View
My head was heavy and I couldn't open my eyes. My heart was beating against my chest, fast and faster—it was so restless, that it made me even more restless. All the energy in my body seemed to be drained away and I couldn't feel a thing. My whole body seemed to be in pain, but I didn't try to move even an inch because I was scared of the pain.
Opening my eyes was a huge and impossible task until I heard a voice— "Now's probably the best time to go ahead, won't you agree?" —and all the cells in my body provided me with just enough strength to open my eyelids and look straight at the ceiling.
I could feel I was lying on a normal bed. The ceiling was not familiar, but it was not a hospital. The last thing I remembered was Xavier promising me to take me to a doctor, but I sure as hell wasn't at one.
