As soon as that happened, Xavier joined our lips. "Scarlet Walker, do you prefer the hyphen in the surname or do you want it to be completely Valencian?" he said between his kisses.
"Xavier…" I whispered as I kissed him back — for some reason.
"Yeah, woman?" He said slowly.
"This is so complicated."
"It won't be," He stopped kissing me but didn't back off. His mouth was centimetres away from mine, his hot breath lingering over my lips. "No one can hurt you if I am here."
"I know."
He kissed me again to which I passionately responded. After a while, he backed away with a smile on his face. "You're unlucky we aren't at home."
I shook my head and chuckled. "It is good. We need to have important conversations."
"Like?"
"Jazelle sent me an invite earlier," I said as I remembered the reminder email I checked a few hours earlier. "Her wedding's taking place in Cancun, Mexico in three days!"
