The sound of loud banging on your door greeted you as you awoke from your slumber, you rise from your bed and open your door just so you can peek out. "Oh…good morning sister Lynn…how may I help you?" You ask quietly, almost whispering. "He wants to see you." She replied. You shuddered, knowing that usually when He wanted to see you it was never good. You quickly got dressed and went to see him. Quietly knocking on the door you waited, he opened the door and invited you in. Sitting in the uncomfortable wooden chair you looked up at the tall male, "Why did you want to see me?" You asked. "Yes, I did, you see my dear [...] we have concluded that you cause too much trouble in this church." He sat down in front of you. "Too much trouble?" You cocked your head. "Yes, you are very disobedient and disrespectful. You are such a sinful creature and that is why we can not let you stay here." He shakes his head as if he felt bad for you. You clenched your teeth and furrowed your brow, "I do what you people ask me! I am always so nice to all of you! I haven't done anything wrong!" You exclaimed. "Oh, dear." He shook his head, "This is what I'm talking about…you yell and scream when things do not go your way." You felt tears in your eyes, they couldn't make you leave this was your only home left. "Do not cry. I will not pity you. You do not deserve pity for your actions." He stood. "Micheal please!" You exclaimed. He turned to you eyes red with anger, "Do not utter my name you filthy rodent!" He slapped you, hard, right across the cheek. You stood there holding your cheek as boiling tears streamed down your face, choked sobs began to rise from your throat and your vision went blurry. It hurt, no one loved you, no one cared, no one wanted you, your parents left you here, now the people who took you in, made you work day after day and night, punished you in the cruelest ways possible, were now throwing you away like an apple core. "Leave my sight, leave my church, never come back." Micheal opened the door for you. Still sobbing and holding your cheek you left, you didn't even return to your room, you just ran, ran out of that cursed church, ran far from it, ran until it was but a tiny dot in the distance. After running for so long you collapsed in a field of dead grass and passed out.
You awoke, cheek still stinging with pain, it was cold, you could see your breath come out in white puffs. You were alone now, as you always were but now truly alone. You curled up in that field just hoping you'd die from the cold and some crows would eat your body. "Are you alone little lamb?" A silky and angelic voice asks. You sit up quickly looking around your eyes landing on a rather gorgeous man with hair that was like waterfalls of gold flowing over his shoulders, a kind face that welcomes and invites the lost, dark yet warm eyes that are like pools of dark chocolate. "I…I'm not lost…I'm alone…I was thrown out of the only home I had left." You hung your head. A soft hand cupped your cheek and gently encouraged you to look up. "Oh, you poor thing, you must be devastated." The man gently stroked your cheek with his thumb. You feel tears welling up in your eyes again. "Do not cry it will be alright now." He kneels and cups your other cheek, his smile widening. "Are you an angel?" You ask the man before you. "I am your true savior." He replies. With that, he had swept you off your feet, you were now in the arms of your so-called savior. "Well…what is your name?" You ask looking up at him. "Gabriel. My name is Gabriel." He replies. "That name…it's…very lovely.." You look down. "Ah, you're too kind. What is your name lamb?" Gabriel asks. "[...]. It's nothing special like yours.." You mumble. "Your name is just as special." He gives you a closed-eyed smile. You blush a bit smiling, "Do you mean that?" He nods opening his eyes again. "How about you stay with me?" He offers. Your eyes light up, "Stay with you? Do you really mean I could stay with you, Gabriel?" He chuckles a lovely sound that tickles your ears and adds to your blush. "Yes of course you can my dear lamb." For the first time in forever tears of joy spilled from your eyes and dripped down your cheeks. "Thank you! Thank you so much!" You exclaimed as you sobbed. Gabriel just smiled and gently wiped your face. You could get used to this…
