"What was your deal with Jude?" Ava couldn't help but asked when they arrived inside their room.
"Nothing."
"You don't seem to like each other very much…" she noted.
Matthew said nothing. Instead, he hugged her from behind. She flinched in response but quickly turned around to look at him. She couldn't help but wonder why he was suddenly acting like this.
Earlier, Matthew and Jude argued about Jude feeling unsafe around Matthew. Ava had to intervene and told Jude that he won't be seeing Matthew around only her.
Of course, this made Matthew grumpy. He tried to complain but in the end, Ava won. They came back into Ava's room where Matthew wanted to stay, despite having his own room.
"What's wrong?" she asked.
"There is an entity following that man."
"You mean the Alpha?"
He nodded.
"And?"
