Her eyes widened. But before she knew it, Matthew already pushed her body towards the sand. Despite her magick, she wasn't able to do anything to save herself from falling.
Not to Matthew but to the sand.
She closed her eyes and brace herself from the sudden impact then quickly realized that he was hugging her. She opened her eyes.
She was lying under Matthew.
Matthew was using his elbows to support him, to avoid crushing her body.
"You moron…" she hissed. Then she quickly frowned when she realized something. Matthew… could still move!
The spell was supposed to stop him from moving.
She stared at his silver eyes, about to ask him about the spell when she realized how close he was. Matthew was inches away from her face. She could feel his hot breath fanning against her cheek, she could see the beautiful flicks of gold and red on his silver eyes.
