"I don't understand," Ava said. "I mean… what made you think that you can just… say something that I would immediately do it?"
"I'm not asking. It was a warning. Some very very horrible things would happen if… you refuse to do it."
Ava opened her mouth but before she could speak, Ulva added, "There was a reason why witches chose to serve the Lycans and treat them as their master. Some traditions aren't meant to be broken."
"Witches are treated as slaves, lower class. In this place, they are the maids, the cooks, the ones who took care of the horses. I don't understand you are a witch. Why would you do something like that to your fellow witch?"
In response, Ulva just stared at her. "I would pretend that I did not hear that from you." Then, she calmly left the forest, leaving Ava alone.
