"Of course, not." The Shaman snorted. He went to the kitchen and started brewing some tea. "I have taken all the right precautions to keep her safe." He had even gone as far as secretly giving her a protection charm that would only activate once she was in grave danger.
Of course, the Shaman would be informed once the charm is activated.
"You really are looking down on her," he added.
"I am well aware that she is a powerful woman. But you know me. Unless I am certain where her abilities came from, I wouldn't see her as my equal."
"Foolish woman. Has old age taught you something?"
"I am not here to talk about my age."
"Well, you wanted to know if something happened and I told you that she's safe. I am going to assume that you are going to leave now?"
"No. I want to know what is happening to Matthew."
"I couldn't think of anything at all."
