"You need to wait for the doctors…" Matthew said when Ava sat up on the bed. "You can't move yet…"
"Nope. I'm good." Ava smiled. All she wanted to do was stretch and kiss him. She got up and started stretching.
"Ava… seriously."
She shrugged and walked towards the table.
"I'm fine Matthew. Seriously." She shrugged as she enjoyed the carpeted floor and the light coming from the chandelier. It was good to be back.
She thought of that darkness around her. The sound of water and her mind silently telling her to stay.
It didn't sound scary but she couldn't imagine what would have happened if she wasn't able to get out. "How's Gabi?" she asked.
"Your brother is being escorted to another room in the mansion with Gabi."
"Phil's here?"
"Look Ava, get back to the bed. You need— "
Ava sat at the table and looked at Matthew.
"What I need is for you to kiss me, Matthew." She smiled when he approached her.
