The sound of birds welcomed Ava and Matthew as they stepped towards the small hut. Surrounded by trees and large bushes, the house looked abandoned from afar. However, she knew that this was nothing but an illusion created by the protective spells around the house.
To a normal human, the hut was nothing but a destroyed house. Without its roof, it did not even seem to be very tempting to spend the night in this place.
"Don't move," Ava held Matthew's arms.
"Why?"
"You know why," she harrumphed.
He chuckled. "I knew you would save me."
"Bullshit."
"I know about the spells but— "
"You don't know magick so you can't undo it. I know." One needed a good witch to be able to create a safe pathway that would avoid the traps that the witch living in the hut created to protect herself.
She pursed her lips and did some hand signals.
"Follow me," she uttered.
"Woah."
