Elk coughed up blood and looked at the wolves from inside the wall.He was feeling awful right now as he didn't have enough stored life force, which he stole from his alive victims,to heal himself left.He could at most heal himself two to three times before he would really die.
He learned this from the seven shadows while he was unconscious from the lighting attack.Pushing himself out of the wall he looked at the wolf then his attention was diverted to something else.He saw the other man recuperating in a meditative pose trying to recover his energy.
Elk looked at him and knew he was waiting for him to die then he would be released.Gritting his teeth Elk looked at the wolves and rushed toward them,the beta ran and jumped toward him opening its jaw to take a bite at Elk.He slid underneath it to avoid however as it had learned from its mistake before,a light green hue surrounded its paw as it clawed at Elk slapping him to the side with claw marks on his side showing his ribs.
The Alpha took advantage of the opportunity and appeared at Elk's side aiming to bite off his head.Just as it was about to bite Elk released dark fog in the shape of a ball exploding it at his side to push him out of the way but not without leaving his arm behind.The alpha looked annoyed that it only got his arm and spat it out.
Elk didn't release any more fog as he knew he had a limit amount of energy left and has to save it for healing himself or enhancing himself at crucial moments.
He got up while ignoring the pain and suppressing the blood from flowing out of his body with fog.He started to run toward the man who was meditating while the wolves where chasing him.He suddenly felt a chill down his spine and a breath on his neck and time seem to stop for him at this moment.
If he where to look behind him he would see the jaw of the alpha at his neck only centimeters away from biting it.He was unable to respond at this moment because his thoughts where still on the man in meditation.
A shadow then appeared next to him on his right and used one of its tentacle like arms to whip him from the side making the teeth of the wolf miss by a hairs breath.The wolf missed and instead bit the tentacle of the shadow causing it to dissipate.It coughed violently as it tried to spit out the fog draining its life force.
Elk saw this and stood up continuing to run toward the man.When he arrived the man saw Elk and looked at him with an angry expression.He hurriedly stood up and gathered his energy and used his ability creating two gauntlets and striking at Elk.
Elk's attention had already shifted to the two wolves behind him again.They both jumped at Elk from behind from opposite directions this time making sure he has no escape.
He then noticed the man sticking towards him and made a decision.He instantly healed his arm and upper body and crossed his arms in a X while using fog to imitate the ability of the man,albeit crudely.
He ran into the man and was struck so hard he flew backwards passing the two wolves still in the air leaving them with a dumbfounded look.They arrived infront of the man with him being unable to respond in time.
"Oh fu..."
Chomp!Chomp!
The two wolves bit down,one on his head the other on his shoulder causing him severe pain.They locked down refusing to let go of their prey.
"Ahhh,help please!Make them stop!"
He screamed but all he got was the cheers from the audience as they where enjoying his misery.Elk looked at this scene in pain and knew this was the only opportunity he would get to get rid of the alpha.He used his last bit of energy to heal himself and rushed toward it and grabbed its neck.The alpha sensed itself becoming weaker and let got of the other man leaving him to the beta.
It growled and tried to shake off Elk but to no avail.Elk knew if he were to let go he will die.The alphas struggle became weaker and weaker until finally it dropped to the ground not moving a centimeter.
Elk let go and rolled to the side,he knew the alpha was dead and not faking it since he gained a new salute.The beta saw this and went mad with fury,it rushed at him with viciousness but this time Elk didn't back down he jumped at it and plunged his fist into it mouth and drained it of its life effectively killing it.
He slumped to the ground as he pulled out his arm,he was incredibly tired.Before he could relax completely he heard screams reverberating though the arena.
"Two goes in,one comes out!"
"Two goes in,one comes out!"
"Two goes in,one comes out!"
It was the screams of the guards and prisoners.He then noticed the man was still alive meaning he can't go out unless one of them dies.He stood up and walked towards him.
"Pl..please don't do this.I...have a way we can both live and can give you resources you wouldn't be able to find in this place,please don't kill me."
The man pleaded at Elk while stating an offer he thought would interest Elk.Elk stared at him with indifference as he spoke.
"If I was before I would have maybe taken you up on your offer but now I can't..."
"Wh...why?"
"...because I discovered the joy of killing!"
Before the man could speak again Elk gathered his dark fog into two tentacles and lifted him into the air.The two stabbed through his chest and ripped his body in half.He absorbed the man's life force and created a new salute.
Pop!
At the same time he broke through to level four and felt something inside of his awaken.
Cheers reverberated through the stadium as Elk was the last one alive.Elk breath a sigh of relief as he scattered his fog and his eyes went back to normal.
"Winner and the one to get the chance the newbie,Elk Raiser!"
