Inside Earth Protection Agency building:
Richard's office on the fifth floor.
Richard was sitting in his office while looking at the contents of a brown book with an excited expression.
"With this meditation method I can cultivate even faster and become a genius.It is even a non-attribute method that focuses on increasing the myriad energy to the capacity limit of the body's vessel.In seven no five years at most I can become a Law stage expert!"
Richard laughed heartedly at the thought. Suddenly he heard a knock on his office door and the door swung open.He hurriedly hid the book in one of his desk drawers.
"Didn't I tell you to wait outside the door until I told you to enter!"
"Please forgive me sir however it is an urgent matter. A young master claiming to be from the main family on the Wakes is here to see you and has been waiting 10 minutes in the lounge. I was afraid to disturb you and asked him to wait a few minutes since you where busy."
When Richard heard this his angry expression immediately vanished as he stood up and walked out of his office.
"Why didn't you tell me sooner.Have you entertained him well?"
"Yes sir,we have offered him beverages and snacks however he refused and said he would wait for you."
Richard arrived at the lounge to find a refined young man that looked like he was at the ages between 15-18.
He was the young master and genius of The Wakes family, Theo Wakes, a Law stage expert.Theo has had the best resources and and used the best and most fitting meditation methods since he started cultivation.Not to mention combat arts.
Along with him being a genius it caused him to rise through the rankings,as he awakened his ability at five years old and started cultivation at seven.He was a Refinement 9 stage(1) expert at ten and broke through to Law stage at thirteen years old.
Currently at the age of seventeen he is a Law 6 stage(2) expert. Meaning he has comprehended more than 60 percent of his abilities Law.
"It's good to see you again after such a long time young master Theo,I hope all has been well."
"Ah,Richard,it has been a long time.If I had to say it has been about three years and five months not counting the extra days."
Theo said as a matter of fact.
"Yes, young master is correct and has an impeccable memory as always."
'Smart ass.'
Richard thought but couldn't voice.
"Young master if I may be so bold to ask,why are you here?"
Richard looked at him confusedly.
Richard knew that someone of his standing and power would not casually visit someone from a branch family.This was because of his low standing at the same time because he knew of this young genius' arrogance
The only time he and Theo met was at his celebration party when he broke through to Law stage.Even then they only talked briefly because of customs.
Richard also knew the only reason Theo even remembered him was because he was humiliated as that celebration party.
"I'm here because I heard whispers from a little bird.It told me someone from my branch family was almost killed by a non-awakend.You must know when the family head,my father,heard this he was furious."
Theo looked at Richard with a teasing smile while Richard had a grim look on his face.
"My father was so furious he almost ordered his shadows(3) to get rid of 'that waste of resources' ..."
Theo then put on a righteous expression and continued.
"...however I intervened and told him I would come over to inquire about the exact specifics.Now tell me Richard, why did you almost die to a non-awakend?"
As he said this he released his law myriad energy and pressured Richard.It was even more terrible than when other Law stage experts did it because Theo's attributes where water and earth,the abilities he awakened where raging waves and five fold gravity increase(4) while the Law he comprehend was the Law of pressure(5).
Damn!Who was it!!! I swear when I find that person I will cut off his tongue and feed it to the dogs.
"I was caught off guard when he paralyzed me with a strong poison and took the opportunity to try and kill me.We then discovered he was working with the criminal we were chasing and wanted to frame my death on another of the top 10 families to cause a war.I am truly sorry for my negligence and I will except any punishment the family wishes to put upon me but please spare my life."
Richard then started to tell the lie he came up with just in case something like this would happen.He bowed his head while having a pitiful but accepting expression.
"Those lies and tricks will not work on me, you would have a better chance finding a wife than trying to fool me.However I did not come here to kill you, in fact I came to give you an opportunity to make up for your mistake."
Theo snorted and looked at Richard condescendingly as he offered him a chance. Richard gritted his teeth as he lifted his head.
"I would be honored to be of use to you young master."
"Good,come to this address tomorrow at 11 am,I will be waiting. Don't be late."
Theo said as he walked a way.
"But young master what about the address?"
Just as he was about to walk after Theo his assistant came to him with a tablet smartphone and gave it to him.On it was the number and name of a street with and apartment number of a hotel.Under it was a barcode which was used as a vacation at the hotel.
Richard looked at his assistant with a grave look.
"When was this sent?"
"It was sent five minutes ago and it seems our database has been hacked yesterday without our knowledge,we just discovered it now when we received this message."
Damn that bastard!He already knew everything and was just playing with me.He want to use me?Fuck you!I have a better chance to find a wife than fool you?Fuck you!Just you wait when I start to cultivate with this new method and surpass you, I will make you grovel on the ground while driving me boot on your head into the dirt!
Richard gritted his teeth as his thoughts went wild.

Theo was standing in front of a black car while a man in a black suit and lower face mask opened the door respectfully.
"Are you sure you wish to use him for this master?He does not seem like someone who can be trusted."
"Don't worry,he is no treat to us.You know I wouldn't be here if I didn't need to.He is one of the few that has that special attribute even if he is weak but that means he is controllable."
Theo climbed into the car while the man closed the car and it drove off.
The man stood there then he turned around to look at the building to see Richard standing N the fifth floor looking at him out of the window.Their eyes met for a brief moment and sparks began to fly.
"Heh...interesting."He muttered.
He then disappeared as if he was never there leaving Richard staring at the empty spot.
