Chapter 2 - Chapter Two

I woke up to multiple bell rings. I got up and looked at the clock to my left; it was six A.M.

"Who could be at the door this early in the morning?" I muttered to myself before getting up to answer the door.

"Jennifer Black?" A police officer asked.

"No, sorry you got the wrong person." I lied.

"No! That's her. She's the lady who stole the file." Josie Smith pointed out to the police officer. I sucked in air, feeling annoyed.

"Ok fine I am Jennifer Black, but I had to contact detective Marcus..." I tried to explain but the cop was not hearing it.

"You are under arrest for stealing a file from our police station and running from---." The police officer tried to explain while hand cuffing me.

"No she's good; she doesn't need to be brought in; you can un-cuff her now." Detective Marcus told them. I was shocked when I saw detective Marcus. Detective Marcus wasn't there a second ago. Maybe my eyes just needed to wake up more or something.

"But she stole---" The officer tried to explain once again, but detective Marcus cut him off.

"I said she's good." Detective Marcus told the officer, giving him a sharp look. I looked back in forth between detective Marcus and the officer not sure what to do.

"You can leave now." Detective Marcus told the officer. The officer hesitated for a second then nodded his head and left. I was just about to close the door when detective Marcus stopped me with his foot.

"You didn't call me last night."

"It was five thirty in the morning; I was too tired to call you."

"I was worried so I came right over and thank goodness I did or you would've gone to jail."

"So since I'm already over here-"

"We have all day to discuss what we are going to do; I only got a few minutes of sleep, I'm very tired. I will call you when I wake up."

"Okay no problem; I will catch up on some sleep also. I will see you later."

"Bye" I said watching detective Marcus leave, then I closed and locked the door and went back upstairs to my room. The moment I crashed onto my bed I was knocked out.

Second Vision

I woke up in a cold basement, I couldn't move nor speak. I looked around to find my hands and feet tied and my mouth taped up. My body was covered in blood; I had multiple wounds on my stomach, arms, wrists, legs, and ankles. I started crying and withering around until I heard footsteps coming towards me. I looked around frantically until I saw a guy walking toward me with a knife in his hand. As the guy came closer I recognized him as the guy dressed in black in my past visions. I tried asking him questions, but I remembered that I couldn't, because of my mouth being taped up, so I continued crying and withering around as the knife came closer to my body.

"This will just hurt for a second." The man dressed in black told me. I was scared and as I saw the knife coming closer to my throat I started crying harder and withering around more trying to get away from the man and the knife. I kept moving around trying to get away until the man quickly sliced my throat open.

I quickly woke up, gasping for air. I touched every inch of my body to make sure I wasn't bleeding and cut up. I touched my throat, it was still attached to my body. When I realized it was just another vision I lifted both my knees up to my chest and buried my head in them and started to cry. That was the most intense vision I have ever had.

When I got a hold of myself, I checked the clock on my nightstand; six forty PM. I quickly grabbed my phone and started to call detective Marcus, but stopped when I heard three knocks on my front door. I quickly got off my bed, grabbed my butcher knife that I always hide under my mattress and went downstairs to open the door. Before opening the door I looked in the peephole to see who it was. I felt relieved to see it was just detective Marcus. I quickly opened the door.

"What happened to you?" Detective Marcus asked. I looked confused, until I looked into the mirror that was mounted on my wall to the left of where I stood. I looked horrible, my hair was a mess and my eyes were red from the tears that I shed just a moment ago. Then I remembered the vision and my body started to tremble.

"I had another vision." I told him.

"What was it about?"

"I was in that cold basement again and my hands and feet were tied up and my mouth was taped. When I started to look around I saw the guy from my other visions that have all of the girls hidden in that basement. The man was holding a knife in his hand, while walking towards me. I started screaming from the inside of my mouth and withering around, trying to escape from him but I couldn't. When he was beside me he said, "This will just hurt for a second" and then he slit my throat, then my vision went black and all I saw was blood." I explained my dream while holding my neck.

"Its ok, you are ok. What happened in your vision won't happen; I won't let that happen to you." Detective Marcus told her while grabbing her hand away from her neck. I looked at detective Marcus with huge eyes.

"What is it?"

"The vision wasn't about me; it was about one of the girls that were kidnapped. I was just in her place seeing everything through her eyes."

"So one of the girls is going to die?" Detective Marcus asked looking panicked.

"One is going to die or is already dead."

"What do you mean she could already be dead, we have no hope in saving the person that will fill your spot in your dream?"

"That is exactly what I'm saying, because when I have death visions, I usually have it while the person is dying or after that person has died. Pretty much when I get visions they are just warning dreams."

"This is for sure?"

"Yes this is for sure; I have had death dreams ever since I was fifteen years old."

"Damn we need to move fast then.

"Yea no kidding, before I get another death vision."

"So we will go check out the club. It's Seven p.m. now. You get ready and then we will leave." I looked detective Marcus up and down to see what he was wearing. He obviously didn't look in the mirror today.

"Do you always dress like a cop?" Detective Marcus looked at himself and shrugged.

"I guess I do, I take my job pretty serious."

"Ok well you can't go to a club wearing that, you will just blow our cover once we walk in."

"Well these clothes are all I wear. I mean it has been years since I been to a club."

"Dude seriously? You are so hot and young, you don't go clubbing?"

"You think I'm hot?" Detective Marcus asked feeling amused."

"How do you even meet girls?" I asked ignoring his last question.

"I have not dated in years, I just been too busy working, to even think about dating."

"That's crazy, but I guess I understand since you are a detective. I'm sure there is a lot for you to do with all kinds of cases."

"Yes exactly."

"Ok well you have to go back home to change or since this is the kind of clothes you wear we could just go to the mall real quick and change up your style for tonight." Detective Marcus touched his chin with his index finger while he went into deep thought.

"I guess we would have to go to the mall then."

"Ok great, I will just put on some jeans and a t-shirt and do my hair real quick. You just wait here, I won't be long and then we can head out. I quickly head upstairs into my room and go through my closet. I picked out dark blue skinny jeans with a black t-shirt that says, "Queen" on it, then I grab some sexy black mid high-heels. Once I was done getting dressed and doing my hair and make-up, I head back down stairs to meet detective Marcus. I walked up to detective Marcus, his back to me, I clear my throat to get his attention. He gets startled and turns around to look at me, detective Marcus looks at me from head to toe and this look came across his face of adoration for a split second before he looks away.

"You are all set then?"

"Yes, let's go" I say before leading detective Marcus out of my house.

Jenifer and I make it to the mall twenty minutes later. The first store Jenifer drags me to is Dillards to find a suit to wear to this club. After looking at what seems to be a hundred suits I just settle for a black plain dress shirt and some dark blue dress pants, with matching black dress shoes. After I purchased my outfit we find a Dillards for women for Jenifer.

"Ugh none of these dresses I've seen look close to club dresses. It's already passed eight and I still have not found anything I like."

"Its ok, I'm sure you will find something soon, I hope. The dress doesn't have to be perfect, it's just for tonight"

"For my plan to work, this dress does have to be perfect."

"What exactly is this plan of yours?" I ask while Jenifer eye balls this one dark blue altar dress.

"Don't worry about that." Jenifer says while holding the dress up to her body."

"You should just try on the dress if you like it that much." Jenifer looks at me with a look that tells me she isn't sure if she should or not.

"Go ahead and try on the dress, I'm sure it will look very good on you." I smile as I try to convince her. I can just imagine how it would look on her, how the dress would bring out her sexy curves.

"Ok, wait here while I try this on real quick, and give me your honest opinion on how it looks on me."

I take a seat right outside of the fitting room where Jenifer disappeared into. As the minutes ticked by. I start to twirl my fingers and whistle as I wait patiently. When Jenifer finally comes out of her fitting room I couldn't stop looking at her. As I suspected, the dress brought out her curves. It was like I was hypnotized, I couldn't get my eyes off of her, and she looked so damn beautiful in that dress.

I quickly looked anywhere but at her for a second to get a handle on myself. I barely know this women, yet I feel a strong pull towards her, the moment I met her. I haven't been with a women in years simply, because everyone looked and acted average; but Jenifer is far from average. I've known her for only two days and I can see it, I can feel myself getting pulled to her every second I'm near her. I look into her eyes seeing her bite her bottom lip as she waits for my opinion.

"Well are you going to stare at me all night or are you going to give me your opinion? Does this look good on me or make me look fat? Don't be scared I can handle the truth." I start to laugh as she babbles on.

"No, that dress definitely does not make you look fat at all." I pause for a brief moment as I consider my words carefully.

"There are no simple words I can describe how that dress looks on you, I could say you look beautiful, but you are so much more than just beautiful, you look more like a goddess." She blushes as she registered what I just said.

"Th-thank you."

"You're welcome. Are you ready to go?"

"Yes."

We make our way to the register to buy her dress, as Jenifer pulls out her credit card, I stop her and instead I paid for it. This makes her blush even deeper, she tried to talk me out of it but I wasn't hearing it. As the mall gets closer to closing Jenifer and I hurry to the restrooms to change into our new outfits before going to the club since it was almost ten. Once we are both finished getting dressed, we walk out of the mall, and into my car.

"So what is this clubs name?"

"Coco Cabana." Jenifer tells Marcus as he starts up his car and starts to drive to Club Coco Cabana.

"I know it's rude to ask you this, but I really want to know if it's okay with you."

"Ok, what is it you want to ask me?"

"How old are you?"

"I'm eighteen years old, detective Marcus. If you don't mind me asking, how old are you?"

"I'm 24 years old and you don't have to keep calling me detective Marcus, you can call me Marcus or Mark if you like."

"Ok Mark." Jenifer says while smiling to herself.

"So what is this plan you keep talking about?"

"Nothing, don't worry about it, and you can call me Jenni if you like."

"Listen Jenni, I don't want you to do anything that will put you in danger, so what ever plan you have I hope it's a smart, safe plan and not a dumb drastic plan." With that, he drove to the club in silence. Looking straight at the road in front of him while sneaking a few glances at Jennifer, wondering what her plan is, hoping she doesn't do anything stupid.
