A few minutes ago...
"Your highness?" Marcel called, jumping up to his feet when he saw Axel's eyes slowly flutter open. He moved away from his current position to go stand by the edge of the bed, and his brows pulled together.
Kora said he will live, but didn't say he will wake up just minutes after they left the room. Not that it was a bad thing that he woke up now. He just wasn't expecting it, not until the next day at least, so this came as a surprise.
He became even more worried when Axel didn't respond, instead, he continued to stare at the ceiling, fluttering his lashes ever so tenderly. His eyes were bright gold, which he expected, but why wasn't he responding?
"Axel?" Marcel called again but still got no response. A silent sigh slipped past his lips and he thought of going to call Kora to check on him. He wasn't comfortable with the blank look on Axel's face.
