While all of that was happening, Alita continued to pull herself away from whatever invincible force that was holding her in place. She put all her might and strength into it, realizing that the force keeping her in place was weakening.
She had seen the shock that registered on Alexa's face, and she felt uncomfortable with that. Although she didn't know how she looked exactly, since she hadn't bothered to check, that look on Alexa's face was enough to give her a hint.
But what gave her extra motivation was the fact that she could hear Axel's grunts and she knew he was experiencing excruciating pains. More than anything, she wanted the pain to stop, and she was afraid he would die if he doesn't let go of her soon.
Also, Alexa's voice was ringing in her ears, giving her extra reason to do something. She didn't know what was going on or how she was supposed to take back control of her body. She had tried on several occasions, but it didn't work out.
