"What if I don't want a certain someone to enjoy the food?" Asher asked, sounding offended as he shifted his eyes to Alexa.
Zica let out a sigh at his answer, while the others at the table looked dumbfounded.
Immediately the words flew out of his mouth, Alexa froze, and her grip tightened around the fork.
A subtle smirk graced Asher's face when he saw her reaction. It however disappeared the moment he saw her slowly lifting her eyes to look at him.
When their eyes met, Asher arched a brow as he held her gaze. She was looking at him as if she wanted to pounce on him that second. Her bright blue eyes were beautiful to behold, and somehow, he found himself not wanting to look away. If only she wasn't full of hate, he would have considered her a pretty damsel, but nope.
