Sapphire dropped to the ground in a light thud as soon as Asher withdrew his hand from her neck. His move came as a shock to everyone as it wasn't clear what he did to her or why he did it. Axel's men never did anything without his permission, but Asher just made a move without an order from the prince.
Samantha's mouth parted in shock. What just happened? Did Axel's bodyguard just disappear? And what the hell did he just do to Sapphire? He only grabbed her neck without adding any force and she just dropped like a piece of doll.
"What did you do?" Samantha shrieked, raking her eyes over Sapphire's body to check for signs of life. When she couldn't spot any, panic set in.
