"You don't look happy," Axel observed, tilting his head slightly to the side with a probing look on his face.
This isn't good. Shouldn't she be happy about this? Didn't she want children? Or did she want to leave him after all these, so she didn't want a child to tie her down?
His head worked overtime as he tried to figure out her reason for not being happy.
"I... I am. I'm just worried." Alita voiced, lowering her gaze as her eyes darted around.
"What are you worried about?" Axel questioned, relaxing a little as her answer didn't go in the negative direction he thought it would. At least she was happy. If she had said she wasn't, it would have broken his heart into a million pieces.
But still, he needed to know why she was worried. Any worry that was big enough to overshadow the joy of expecting a child surely was caused by something serious.
