"Have you had something to eat?" Axel questioned, leaving his jaw perfectly rested on her right shoulder, careful not to put too much weight so as not to make her feel uncomfortable. His eyes looked straight ahead as he did his best not to yield to the temptation of burying his nose in the crook of her neck or her hair.
"I'm not hungry." She shook her head. Taking in a deep breath to stabilize her breathing as her heart had picked up ever since his nose brushed the side of her neck, she moved her feet slightly for the first time since she came to stand on that spot.
She willed her treacherous heart to be calm and focus on the sunrise which was one of the reasons why she had come up here in the first place. That became a hard task as his hands around her waist which provided her a warmth she didn't know she needed, and his jaw on her neck was a distraction too strong to ignore.
"Not thirsty too?" She heard him ask and she shook her head again.
