The young vampire took two more steps back when Asher snapped the straps used in binding his legs in just one pull. For the briefest moment, the vampire glanced towards the entrance by his left, contemplating escape, a move Asher already caught and understood as his eyes never left the boy.
Asher moved his eyes away from him for two seconds, and just as he predicted, the boy zoomed towards the door.
Unfortunately, he ran into Asher's outstretched hand, his neck firmly grabbed by Asher who had teleported to the door the moment the boy bolted.
"Tsk tsk... You don't look like a coward. Why are you running away?" Asher inquired of the boy whose Ashen face and widened eyes could be likened to one who just encountered a ghost.
The boy shook his head vigorously without spilling a word.
"Speak out, boy. Who are you working for?" Asher's voice came out authoritatively and he released the boy's neck a little just to allow him talk.
