Amelia's sharp gaze focused on Javier again, so he greeted her with a smile and a burning look. They both seemed to want the same thing—to follow one of them through that burning gaze.
Javier knew Amelia's next plan even though he wasn't sure, but he better be sure and find an ace as soon as possible. He wouldn't want to take a risk that might harm Leona even more. He would never let that happen.
"I don't like him that much. But at least he keeps his promise. He doesn't like you. He doesn't have a lot of power, but he always keeps his promise. You know that. . ."
Javier looked up at Aaron. "He took the fall for the man you killed and kept quiet about it. I don't know this because Javier told me. It's something you'd do."
Javier and Amelia's eyes meet again. The fear in her eyes became more visible, so Javier grinned even more. Now, you're doomed, Amelia. I told you not to cross the line or you'll see what I can do to you.
