"How long have you known about me and Amelia?" He couldn't help but ask.
He saw Leona's short grin. "Is that important?"
"Why didn't you let it show?" He asked again why Leona looked back at him. It was full of pain when he faced her.
"Because I didn't want to lose you," Leona answered him quickly. He immediately averted his eyes from her.
"You must have known why I approached you," he continued. Even if he wanted to explain to the woman, that wouldn't be enough anymore. He couldn't let Leona fool herself anymore because he didn't really deserve her love.
"It doesn't matter," she replied directly to him and averted her eyes again. "Your feelings weren't important. Mine was. I just had to have you," she said to the air with a smile.
