Chapter 8
"I did everything I could…"
That was the last thing Adan said after he successfully saved Leona from her death. As he returned to his seat, Adan's whole body weakened because of what he had witnessed and learned from Amelia. He couldn't believe what it told him, especially about her current lifestyle. She is married and has a child. Marco told him that several times while he was still in prison, but he didn't believe his friend.
And now that he found out everything himself from the woman he loved so much, he didn't know who else he would believe at those times. Because he wasn't sure if he could still trust even himself.
Adan could still feel the intense anger in his heart as he drove home. Amelia's face and her words kept replaying in his mind. He couldn't even get rid of it, something that made him, even more, raged and devastated.
"It was Amelia, right?" He heard Marco ask him.
