Javier quickly ran back inside the restaurant where Leona was after she called him. He found Leona inside with slumped shoulders and dumbfounded looking into nothingness. Disappointment and sadness were evident in Leona's eyes. He immediately approached her and sat on one of the chairs there.
"He's not the President of Ivi Cosmetics. They sent someone else. He was President Chua of La Santa Chemicals. He lost his son in a car accident 5 months ago. But I . . ." Leona explained to him weakly.
The woman was about to pour her glass of wine so he immediately stopped her. He knew it. Javier already had a hunch that that would happen, especially since Amelia was the first to approach Leona. This is his reason why he tried to stop Leona from meeting him but obviously he also failed.
