When Adan promised himself that he would protect Amelia for the rest of his life, he was more willing to do that, especially from her older brother Aaron. He knew everything the woman had gone through at Aaron's hands even with her parents. That even he would not be able to cope if that happened to him.
But when Adan realized that the woman could not do that to him back, he did not know if he still wanted to keep that promise. That even if he didn't want to fulfill it, he himself didn't seem to agree with it.
"Do you like Amelia that much?"
Adan glanced at Aaron for a moment because of what he said and immediately averted his eyes. Do I still like her that much? A, no… do I still love her? Does she still deserve my love?
"She ruined your life. Do you still want to take her side? Do you like that devil that much?" It asked him again as if he was provoking him.
