The dark pigments in the dark ribbons began to rush off in a straight line, and the familiar transparency of the white ribbons began to surface. The elves that were held captive in the weaving process were all freed, standing aside and watching in surprise. The original white ribbons kept entangling themselves with the dark ribbons, draining life out of them, until transparency dominated. The transparent ribbons tangled around each other afterwards and fluttered away.
The whole institute was clenched still. Launa and her peers couldn't help but enjoy the stare of heart-throbbing surprise the people around gave them. Sirens began to blare from unascertained places. They saw elves and thought-forms that stayed indoors throughout the weaving process coming out of their brooding zones to see what had happened.
They saw Bod, Thaine, and Hord forcing themselves through the crowd to meet them.
