Chapter 3 - The ritual commenced

"Gyatsho!.. Open the room in which the sacred dagger is kept", ordered the head monk Nam Yoe. Gyatsho who is one of the most sincere and kind follower of the head monk, obediently did the task which he was summoned to do.

Jinga and Jason were watching with curiosity. Both of them were very excited, as they were curious to see the sacred dagger that the head monk mentioned. After Gyatsho opened the door, the head monk took a clean piece of cloth along with him and entered the prohibited room.

While head monk Nam Yoe was entering the room, Jinga and Jason both peeped into the room with excitement. The room inside was extremely different to the main shrine. All of the four corners had a big lengthy golden curtains, and in the middle of the room was a table on which was a bowl filled with white liquid.

The head monk before putting his hand inside the holy bowl, started to chant holy Buddhist mantra. After the head monk had finished chanting the mantra, he put his hands inside the bowl. Gyatsho, Jinga and Jason all peeped with urgency. The head monk took out the holy dagger out of the bowl and turned around revealing the sacred dagger. The dagger was semi yellow and gold in color. It had two round end and a thin cylindrical middle.

After the sacred dagger was revealed, head monk ordered Gyastho to put a table in front of the Buddha statue and keep the bowl on it. After the table was a set up, the bowl was filled with milk and the head monk Nam Yoe put the holy dagger inside. The head monk started to chant the mantra and started meditating after the chant.

All of the spectator were watching with anxiousness and imagined what would happen after the ritual. The head monk after he came to normalcy from the state of meditation, he ordered all of them to head out. As they all came out of the shrine, the head monk ordered to close the room.

"The shrine's main room should be closed for the next five days", declared the head monk.
