I returned to the guest room that Iskandar provided to Shanon as a place for her to sleep beside the room that he gave to her earlier. Slowly, I closed the bedroom door so as not to wake Shanon, who was still fast asleep. I sat next to the empty bed.
My hand that was pushed away by Iskandar now feels more painful than before. I winced in pain, trying not to make a sound as I was afraid Shanon would wake up later.
I then checked my aching hand, and it made me gasp in shock.
My aching hand began to be surrounded by a circle of reddish gold bands that felt wrapped around my hand. I tried to get rid of it, but when I tried to pull it off, the ribbon wrapped around me even more.
I started to feel the pain like being stabbed by the thousands of needles in my hand. When I looked again, the ribbon seemed to release tiny needles that quickly pierced my hand. I tried to press my hand, which was getting more and more painful, hoping that it would lessen the pain.
