As Darius had said earlier, there was a commotion followed by the shattering of several items upstairs. The commotion grew louder as they climbed the spiralling staircase which annoyed him for being utterly impractical. Roberto looked so tense that cold sweat dripped down his wrinkled forehead.
"Dare to approach me one more step, I will kill you! Who told you to come here!?"
Indra could clearly hear Ariel's voice yelling at her intruder, making his blood boil with fear. He no longer needed to walk behind Roberto to help him find Ariel's room, for the reason he saw Ariel's body thrown out of his room along with Ariel's broken bedroom door. Before the body of the young woman who had changed into casual clothes hit the wall behind her, he ran at her ultrasonic speed, catching Ariel who had closed her eyes tightly.
"Are you all right, Little Cotton?"
The young woman opened her eyes, relieved when she realised he had caught her in time. Then the young woman's smile changed to a sullen face, as usual, pushing his body away from her. "I-I can do it myself! Who asked for your help!"
He saw the young woman wincing in pain, and then looked all over the young woman's body. There were many cuts and knife cuts on the young woman's body, making her look furiously at the intruder who attacked Ariel. His fists clenched, blocking Ariel who was preparing to attack the intruders who were now in front of them.
"If you just follow Master's orders, everything will be fine," said the green-haired man who didn't really match the colour of his skin tone, walking over to Ariel. The man wiped the corner of his lip that was injured by Ariel's attack. He glanced at the man's left arm which was also broken and bleeding, but the man showed absolutely no sign of pain.
Simply put, this man was the devil. A monster. That was the only word he could describe how terrible that man was. The man's eyes turned to him, smiling happily.
"And there it is, a toy that is just as interesting as you, Miss Ariel," the man was now in front of him, making him shudder in horror at the speed that could be said to match his ultrasonic movement. The man's hand patted Indra's cheek, which he immediately brushed away. "Good quality, woah! I really like you. Do you want to come with me?"
"In your dream. Don't expect to escape after laying a finger on my girlfriend, you jerk!" Indra threw his fist into the man's stomach, which managed to throw the man's body away a few meters from him. "Ariel, stay here with your father. Let me take care of him."
He threw a sharp gaze when he saw Ariel who was about to protest. The young woman lowered her head and ran towards her father while she approached the man who actually laughed at his hit earlier, coughing up blood. The blow just now seemed to have injured the man's lungs. Very nice.
"I like you! The best toy I had to get!" The man ran towards him again, which he managed to dodge as he removed his gloves and tucked them into his trouser pocket.
Truly a monster. He had not even seen the human remains of the man other than his body. At a glance, he saw the man's pupils moving strangely. Unreasonable. Could it be that this man was the result of an experiment?
Well, that was none of his business for now. He did not care whether the man would die or not after he defeated the man. Whoever dare to lay a finger on Ariel and hurt her, deserved death from him.
"Whoa, well, it looks like there's a dog that needs to be disciplined, doesn't him? Who is being a bad boy, hm?" Indra smiled sarcastically at the man who came back to him. His hand grabbed the man's hair until the man winced in pain but still laughed. He brought his lips to the man's ear. "Do you want me to discipline you right now?"
The man was silent for a moment. His body trembled as he moved away from the man, making him understand even more that the man was a masochistic type.
"You are much better than Master…" said the man, which succeeded in making him regret his decision to grab the man's hair. He should have just killed him in the first place, but where was the fun in that?
"Well, naughty dog. Do you have any last words you would like to say?"
"What should I tell you?"
"Who ordered you to attack my girlfriend?" Indra grabbed the man's hair harder. "Answer it!"
The man remained silent after several times he grabbed the man's hair until some of his hair fell out, making him irritated. He flicked his hand, releasing a small blue flame and aiming it squarely at the now utterly terrified man.
"You know what?" Indra forced the man to stare at his blue flames. "My fire is small, but when it comes to grilling, he will do it cleanly without leaving any trace. Until nothing is left from your existence. Do you want to give it some try?"
Before the man had a chance to free himself from his grip, he put the fire into the man's mouth, forcing him to swallow it and remove his hands from the man's hair.
"Well, go. Let's just hope you are still alive when you get to your base. Give my regards to the person you call Master."
At his command, the man now ran towards the shattered window, created a large gaping hole that led to the rice fields behind Valentine's residence, and then disappeared from before him. He smiled contentedly. Now it was only a matter of time until the blue flames engulfed the man's entire body and gave him information on the location of the enemy base. In addition to baking, the fire does have capabilities that are far more practical than GPS. He turned, and walked out of the room, towards Ariel who had collapsed in Roberto's arms.
His blood rippled again. He hastily approached the woman, without difficulty carrying the woman's body which felt very light. "I will treat the wound. Is there another spare room I could use?"
"Don't be careless! Better take my daughter to the hospital rather than in here!" Roberto grabbed her by the hand, holding her off while Darius prepared to lead her to an empty room. "Who do you think you Are!? Get off my daughter right now!"
"It is not the right time for protest, Mr Roberto," Indra glared at the old man, annoyed. "The wound is serious. She will be dead before she reaches the hospital."
"You! How dare you—"
"Over here!" Darius waved his hand, standing in front of one of the empty rooms not far from where he was standing.
"Darius is much smarter. Shut up and just follow."
The old man no longer protested, which relieved him of not having to continue the argument. He ran towards the room that Darius pointed to while cursing himself for not noticing Ariel's internal wounds. If the opponent was a monster like earlier, anyone would surely die. It's still fortunate that this woman survived if she continued the fight earlier. Slowly, he laid Ariel's body on the bed. The woman's face grew paler, followed by a large amount of blood seeping out from the cuts on almost all of her body.
"Darius, please prepare porridge and mineral water," said Indra, gesturing for Darius to leave him immediately. She didn't want him to know her abilities. As Darius left, he turned to look at Roberto still standing behind him, then turned his attention back to Ariel. The old man already knew Fernando and Ariel's special abilities—that's what Fernando said before he went to pick up Ariel this morning, so he did not mind Roberto's presence.
"Can you heal my daughter's wounds?"
"I will try what I can do, Sir. Don't worry," Indra put his left hand on Ariel's right hand while closing his eyes, channelling his healing energy into Ariel's body. He could feel his energy being absorbed by this woman's body in large quantities, making it a little difficult to keep himself awake, considering that this woman's life was on the brink. With the slightest loss of concentration, Ariel will die. No, he did not want that to happen. Enough of his family who was killed by the Infuser–an organization formed to target the enchanters–which was now after Ariel.
"Indra?"
He opened his eyes, relieved to see Ariel calling his name in a weak voice. All the wounds are now gone without a trace. He took his hand away from Ariel's right hand, put his gloves back on, and then draped a little hair that bothered Ariel's face. "Does it still hurt?"
Ariel shook her head, trying to sit up on her bed.
"Slow down," Roberto, who was standing behind him also looked relieved. The old man immediately approached his favourite daughter and tucked a sleeping pillow into Ariel's back so that she could lean on it.
"I am really grateful. Thank you for your help, Young Man."
Indra could feel his vision clouding. It seemed that he had used too much of his power. He looked down, trying to force himself to stay awake.
"Thank you for helping my daughter," Roberto turned around, then patted him on the shoulder. "Young Man, are you okay?"
He raised his hand, pulling the man's hand away from him. "I am fine. I just need to take some rest."
"Besides this room, there is an empty room. You can use the room."
"Thank you. And I am sorry for intruding on your time with your daughter. Then, I will excuse myself."
Indra could feel his staggered footsteps as he left the room. Using his hands to slightly support his body, he walked to the room the old man pointed to, opened the unlocked door and turned on the light. Then threw his body onto the bed which emitted a little dust, and provoked him to sneeze for a little. Until he let out his tiredness to control his body, and his eyes had closed in an instant.
