It was hard to tell the time of day inside 'Hell'.
Things like day and night were only shown from a single clock on the wall.
As Junya woke from his slumber, he immediately stretched, which made his bones pop and cackle, and then immediately started scratching his head.
Despite not having bags anymore and looking quite refreshed, his body felt like one that had been hit by a truck.
'She really expects me to attend school feeling like this?' He held his head in annoyance, ready to fall back to sleep.
"Ho? you're up"
The voice that gave Junya a slight square whenever he heard it, frightened him out of his drowsiness. His neck snapped to look at Alice with a mixture of fright and surprise.
This odd reaction came from his experience with pain that followed anytime she would talk to him.
"Stop looking at me like I'm some kind of cold-blooded murderer". Alice grunted carrying behind her a rack of clothes and a plate of breakfast in her hand. "You're already late for school and it's the first day, why didn't you wake me up"
'What?!' A vein in Junya's head twitched but managed to mutter an excuse.
"Hurry and eat the ride is outside," Alice said while ignoring his reply. "This is your uniform, It comes in both Formal and casual styles for different occasions. If you need anything else you can tell just ask me and I'll get it for you."
Junya opened the plastic slightly to take a peek at what he would be wearing for the foreseeable future.
As his eyes laid upon it, he was greeted by an azure uniform with a stand collar which included white trims and gold buttons that ran down the centre of his shirt, Along with a pocket on the left side that had an emblem of a white panther matching elbow patches.
His belt also came with a strap for any weapons that he might need to carry. Unfortunately, they were not useful to him in the least. His glaive and spear were simply too big.
The shoes were white with gold lace holes, matching the accents on his uniform and epaulettes.
'It looks so stiff' Junya thought looking at the uniform.
"Try it on before you have cast judgment on it." Alice sat on the ground and sipped her coffee.
Junya freshened himself up first before going to try on the uniform. As he began slipping into his uniform, the soft fabric shifted to fit his figure and was delicate whenever it needed to be. He threw a few kicks as a test to see if the fabric would stay together, but to his surprise, it exceeded his expectations.
The uniform never hindered his movement, in fact, he was rather free. His white pure white shoes with gold bottoms were comfortable as well.
Alice smiled and chuckled at his surprised face. "Don't get impressed yet, wait till you turn on the emblem".
Just as she was about to explain, her phone vibrated in her back pocket which was followed by a call.
Junya couldn't make out the conversation, but he could tell the person on the other line was rather scared.
"Alright, I'll be right out," Alice said hanging up the call and downing the rest of her coffee.
"You'll eat breakfast in the car, we have to leave now". Alice started walking toward the exit, "I'll get someone to transfer your things to your room."
Junya felt his mind ease hearing this, he didn't have to worry about leaving anything.
He picked up both his weapons and hoisted them on his shoulders. He couldn't make two steps before he was stopped by Alice.
"You need to choose one, you cant expect to be efficient using them both all the time. It's better to learn one throughout school and focus on another after. Just make sure to have designated hands for each weapon"
Junya felt saddened hearing this, but he never bothered arguing over it with Alice. Partly because he didn't want to make her angry by being stubborn, but learning both weapons at the same time would be really time-consuming.
Furthermore, teachers that would be willing to help him were likely scarce. Including the extra time that it would cost which would mean paying for private classes, just to see barely any results.
After thinking a while, he decided it was better to listen to Alice.
This now left him with the decision, which one would he choose.
After nearly a minute of silence, Junya looked at Alice looking for advice.
"Hmm," she mused audibly.
Junya waited for her answer, but her reply shocked him.
"Just flip a coin." She shrugged. "Nothing is better than a good ole coin flip, hurry too the driver is waiting."
Junya mentally facepalmed, however leaving it to himself might have taken hours.
On one hand, the glaive had tremendous destructive power, which could be good in most weapons and fighting styles. On top of that, it's one of the harder weapons to learn.
'But what if I'm good enough to learn it' Junya couldn't help but think to himself. Under the annoyed glare of Alice impatiently fumbling with a coin in her hand, he gave in to her suggestion.
"Heads for glaive"
Alice nodded and flipped them in the air.
Junya watched as both sides of the coins spun through the air. Soon it clanged onto the ground and resonated on the floor as it landed.
"Its tails, Let's get going now." Alice was in a hurry and started moving toward the outside. Junya left bad leaving one of his weapons. His thought was cut by Alice shutting the door behind her.
He finally came back to his senses and left behind the glaive, carrying his spear on his shoulders, fixing his uniform stand collar on his neck along the way.
___
Outside
Today was the first time Junya was able to go outside in losing for a full month. The last time he was outside was during the night time and wasn't able to see the surroundings in their entirety.
It wasn't anything he wish he had seen. It was a secluded always that looked like it was a part of the remnants of an old companies warehouse. Low hanging wires and graphite was the only thing worth looking at.
Junya followed Alice into the car and sat in the backseat.
"M-mam, I didn't mean to rush you, I was just worried that we would be late, it already Eleve-"
Junya recognized the nervous voice was the one that was talking over the phone.
"That's fine, your making us later by talking"
"Thank you very much mam". The driver lightly bowed his head and fired up the engine to his car before taking of and pulling onto the highway.
