"Kazuki…Kazuki!" Kazuki slowly opens his heavy eyelids, squinting through them he finds his best friend Shota, staring right back at him. "Come on Kazuki..you gotta get it together man… it's almost the end of our senior year." He rolls his eyes staring at Shota. Getting up out of his chair and walking out the door he swings his bag over his shoulder.
Shota quickly follows behind him,"Hey! Your just gonna leave me?" "Yep." Kazuki stares at him while waiting for him by the entrance. They always Walk home from school together. Walking down the side walk the air bites against their faces and the cars tear across the road. People chatting and laughing fill the air.
Passing by the train station on the way home Kazuki and Shota quickly say there goodbyes and head their separate ways. Kazuki Home is only a few streets past Shotas, so he doesn't mind walking alone for awhile. Suddenly, while Kazuki is consumed in his thoughts, there is a small cry coming from the bushes near him. Startled, He looks at the bush out of curiosity and pokes through it. Through a tiny hole in the bush he sees a fluff ball of hair full of vibrant oranges whites and blacks. The creature cries out to him, it looks at him and he realizes that it's a cat.
The poor thing looks very malnourished. His heart aches looking at the cat. He can't help but pick it up, and Bring it home with him. He opens his bag and puts the cat gently inside of it, leaving it slightly open to make sure the cat doesn't feel trapped. He hurry's home and races to the front door. As he opens the door the cat meows at him. "Shhhh", he continues hushing the cat out of fear of what his father will think about the new addition to the family.
Running up the stairs to his bedroom he races to his room and locks the door behind him. Falling down to his knees he opens the bag and The cat stares at him. This is the first time he's gotten a good look at the cat. He pauses and takes in all its beautiful features. He obsesses over the cats beautiful eyes. Both are a dark brown but one of the eyes is half blue. "Who could have let a pretty thing like you go?" He picks up the cat looking at its skinny body. He runs down stairs and grabs a can of tuna from the kitchen and brings it back for the cat along with a bowl of water. The pretty cat is still a bit nervous but accepts the tuna that is given to it. The tuna is gone within minutes, Kazuki pets the cat gently as it purrs looking up at him. He picks up the cat and brings it to bed with him. "I need to come up with a name for you pretty kitty" he smiles as he relaxes into his bead cuddling the cat. Without realizing it Kazuki drifted off into a deep sleep.
