Chapter 99 - law of life vs law of space! (2/2)

BOOOOOOM!

With a vicious series of rumble that shook the vast entirety of outer space. Multiple stars and asteroid scattered in the nearby surroundings shattered dramatically and dispersed as the atmosphere became distorted and unstable!

In matters of seconds the entire space was completely deprived of the sea of stars that once illuminated the entire space and gave comfort to the endless darkness!

Suddenly, a large shadow loomed over Alioth's body as a large claw tore through the space he was hiding in!

ROOAAAR!

BOOOOOOM!

The entire space shattered and ripped apart by the claws of the white tiger which attacked with such ferocity that many stars and asteroid shattered and were reduced to tiny fragments that floated aimlessly in outer space!

"Tsk, even though the destructive energy from that tiger is inferior to true destructive energy from the law of destruction, or the law of annihilation... It's still troublesome to deal with." Alioth cursed as he used his law of space to increase the distance between himself and the white tiger.

Swoosh!

Suddenly, from behind Isis appeared as she gracefully extended her slender hands and manipulate her magical energy, sending blades of pure energy all around the space in the surroundings.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

Multiple blades made from pure divine energy cut through the space in its entirety! Shattering the space and distorting the dimensions around her.

From within a subspace Alioth frowned as he notices the space around him was gradually becoming unstable as Isis's attacks cut through space causing it to ripple!

Crack!

From behind, Alioth silently emerged from within a spatial rift and attacked Isis as he manipulated a spatial blade, piercing her chest in an instant. Even though he knew this wasn't enough to seriously injure her it was enough to distract her even if only a little.

Spurt!

A copious amount of blood spewed from her lips as Isis's beautiful face grimaced as she felt the burning sensation of her chest being pierce from behind as blood gush out from her mouth.

However, her body was suddenly shrouded by a faint light that healed all of her injuries in less than a second.

The hole within her chest closed visibly to the eyes as she glared at Alioth who stood calmly in the distance.

"... For someone who is well revered for his image, I never thought you would attack me from behind." Isis wipes the trail of blood that trickled down the corners of her lips as her clear silver eyes shone faintly as she said that in a mocking tone.

"... Honestly, I really didn't want to injure you. But in this situation, I had no other choice. Facing you and that white tiger over there is difficult even for me." Alioth said with some bitterness in his voice.

"Heh, admit it... You wanted my brother to die, didn't you!" Isis bellowed.

Causing the space to rumble with a deafening boom. Alioth frowned when he heard that and before he could respond to her, he suddenly felt a feeling of dread assault him as he instinctively changed the space around him, evading the claw of the white tiger just by the skin of his teeth.

ROOOAAAR!

'How did that tiger manage to evade my perception?' Alioth wondered, confused. Suddenly, Isis made a hand sealed with her hands which caught Alioth's attention. "D-Don't tell me, a domain?"

Indeed, Isis had deployed a domain around them. Now he was caught in Isis's palm unable to escape. Even with his law of space it was difficult to escape from a domain.

"Let's see how you will avoid my attacks this time, Alioth!" Isis roared, firing multiple blades of energy towards Alioth.

BOOOOOM!...

The space rumbled fiercely as several stars in the distance exploded along with some planets!...

Meanwhile, on a distant planet a few kilometers away...

The figure of a man could be seen meditating beneath a waterfall. The man had long white hair that reaches his back and a long beard. The laws of the world seem to resonate around his body as he hovered a few meters silently above the ground.

Each time the water beneath him ripples, the Laws of the world around him pulse softly. Suddenly, the laws around him suddenly grew violent and out of control causing the man to open his eyes sternly.

"... This. The universal laws are restless. Don't tell me another war is about to begin." He mumbled beneath his breath.

As the second pass the laws grew further and further out of his control. The man raised his head and peered in outer space observing the situation. However, when he saw the goddess of life and the god of space his face became pale.

'I-It's those two, don't tell me they found me after all these years!' The man erased his presence and did his best to hide himself. Although he didn't know why the two being of powerful universal laws were facing each other he didn't want to take any chances.

In a remote location in the vast outer space Alioth's figure could be seen facing a large white tiger with darkish patterns on its body that seem to be made from pure destructive energy.

Each time their attacks clashed together the space around them shook fiercely as the dimensions collapse, unable to withstand the attacks from both sides.

At this point Alioth's body was riddled with minor wounds as he had failed to dodge the attacks from the white tiger's claws. Under normal circumstances he could have easily evade all the attacks from the white tiger but, not only does he have to deal with the attacks of the white tiger but also Isis would sometimes attack him from a distance.

Putting him in an extremely unfavorable position. "Isis... We really should stop! Did you think I came all the way down here just to fight you? There is something very important you should know!" Alioth said.

"Hmph, die!" Isis ignored his words as she waved her hands, following that gesture a wave of magical energy was released and sent towards Alioth in the distance.

Seeing that he sneered coldly before manipulating the space around him, separating himself from the incoming attack! The slash of magical energy merely passed through the space where he stood seconds ago and collided with an asteroid in the distance causing a loud boom to echo through space.

Soon, a spatial rift opened up as Alioth emerged from within the crevice. Despite avoiding the attack his expression was extremely stern. He really didn't want to fight the goddess of life if possible as her existence was very important to the universe.

ROOOAAAR!

Suddenly the white tiger appeared behind him swinging its claws towards his neck. However, without so much as a glance the space around him distorted as his body moved through space effectively evading the claw of the white tiger!

The white tiger roared ferociously as it quickly tried to pursue him but it's large body Suddenly became sluggish and stiffen.

While hiding inside a subspace Alioth's hand gradually clenched and tightened into a fist. Each time his hand moved the space around the white tiger began to decrease in size and width.

It was as if the very space was gradually receding in size as the space shrunk and retracted!

The white tiger fought back fiercely. However, it's efforts bore no fruits as its large body gradually shrunk along with the entire space around it.

In less than a minute the space which held the white tiger was reduced to the size of a fist. The white tiger trapped within dispersed into natural energy that blended naturally into the surroundings.

Once he had took care of the white tiger Alioth revealed himself as he appeared before Isis who was glaring at him hatefully.

The powerful domain erected by the goddess of life that surrounded them began to show signs of breaking...

"Shall we end this? You should already be aware that you can't defeat me... All of your efforts are completely useless. I believe you have vented enough." Alioth said, as he snapped his fingers.

Soon, the clothes around his body began to repair themselves until they went back to normal showing no signs of damage anywhere.

"I... I refuse to accept this..." Isis mumbled with a helpless expression. In truth she really was no match for Alioth since the very beginning. If he wanted to, he could have killed her instantly by manipulating space to destroy her limbs or even obliterated her entire body.

While this wouldn't be considered as true death, for a goddess it would weaken her greatly causing her soul to fall into a deep sleep.

The fight would have been over immediately if he did...

But he didn't...

Although she didn't know why he decided to spare her, the realization that he didn't even took her seriously only made the feeling of helplessness she felt worsen. She really couldn't avenge her brother even if her divinity wasn't weakened by the suppression placed on her.

Alioth observed her carefully, when he notices she had no intention of continuing the battle he sighed while shaking his head. "... You really should give up on him. Back then I had hope that you would recover from your depression after a few centuries but... It seems I was a little too optimistic."

"Hendrix broke the balance that maintain the stability of the universe when he stole the divinity of the goddess of thunder and the goddess of fire. That act alone is deserving of death. He was a fool, after the war of gods the universe was already in a difficult situation, but that idiot decided to take advantage of the situation, completely turning on the gods. I am already trying to nurture someone who could comprehend the law of death so that the feeble balance could return to what it once was." Alioth said, and with just a single thought the space around them twists as they returned to their previous location.

Both Sunna and Theia remained where they were as they sensed the distortion of space. "Oh, their back already." Theia said, surprised. Knowing Isis's temperament, she thought the battle between them would last much longer.

Sunna who stood next to her was also greatly surprised. 'Well knowing that her opponent was Alioth, I guess I shouldn't be too surprised after this.' She thought inwardly.

Even though they were not in space they could visually see everything that happened in space along with the loud boom of the space shattering around.

"Isis, once we returned, I hope you are ready to face the judgment of the other gods." Theia said sternly. "..." However, Isis didn't react. Even now her divine senses continued to observe the surroundings, but she couldn't find anything substantial about Hendrix at all leaving her dispirited.

Meanwhile, in the sky...

The figure of Lize could be seen there as she hid among the clouds, her usual drowsy eyes were currently gazing at everything intensely. Even she did not think Isis would suddenly attack the god of space. However, she sighed deeply when she saw that the situation didn't develop into anything too troublesome.

"Sigh, I didn't think things would be this interesting. As I thought with that boy's existence perhaps the world won't be as boring anymore." She muttered to herself.

"Now that you are calmer now you should be able to sense the abnormalities, right?" Alioth said as he gazes at the three goddesses before him.

"Hm... Abnormalities?" Theia tilted her head in confusion. "Use your divine senses over the southern seas." He ordered. Both Sunna and Theia both nodded their heads and scanned the sea, but when they sensed something from the depths of the sea their expressions changed drastically.

"This... The forgotten ruins, someone actually managed to breach the barrier!" Theia exclaimed, her eyes widening in shock!
