Hearing Emerson's question Kenta frowned. What is his conviction? That question may seem like just an ordinary question but to Kenta that question held much more weight.
'What is my conviction' Kenta clench his fist as he thought back to the time he spent with his parents.
The time where his innocent hands wasn't sullied and stained with blood. At first, he purposely tried to forget about those times in order for him to slowly recover from the trauma he felt back then but... every night he keeps waking up back to the same nightmare of what happened with his parents.
He had to watch them die before his eyes powerlessly over and over again. Sometimes in order to escape the nightmares he tried meditating through the night just to get away from the dreams and yet, he knew it was hopeless. It was impossible for him to stay awake all the time after all!
'If only... if only I was strong back then, then they wouldn't have had to die!' Kenta bit his lips as feeling of regret started to surge forth! If he had power, then he probably could have saved his parents. But he didn't he was weak, he was helpless... he was useless.
'This feeling of weakness... I will make sure to never experience it again!' Kenta admired the strong, the strong are respected and feared by those around them, only with power through fear could he live in happiness.
'In order for me to not lose anything again I need power, real power! Power that would allow me to grasp my own fate, I need to make sure not even the gods can meddle in my fate as they please.'
....
In another location a woman could be seen sitting down on a throne. The woman had long red hair that cascaded down to her waist, red eyes, and a slender figure. She wore a black gown that reaches her knees.
Seeing this woman many would easily fall prey to her beauty. However, there was something unnatural about her. Her aura gives off a deep feeling of both fear and danger. And her skin was so pale that any who sees her would think she has no blood running through her body.
The woman leaned back onto the backrest of her throne and closed her eyes. However, she suddenly felt a familiar connection that caused her to abruptly open her eyes. Her eyes were lifeless, and there was no sign of any heaving of her body anywhere.
In reality she was an undead created by the "God of death" Long ago. When the woman felt this connection, a smile appeared on her face. "... It seems my master has finally found a suitable vessel to carry his soul." The woman got to her feet and stretch her body. Inadvertently causing her ample breast to jiggle.
Unfortunately, there was no one around to witness such a sight.
The woman walked into the spacious hall where the only light source was the rays of sunlight glimmering through the gaps between the curtains.
She walked elegantly towards a giant block of ice and that seem to have a human body trap within. The body of a beautiful woman with long blonde hair could be seen trap inside.
"Fufufu, it seems that day is slowly approaching, the day his ambitions will become reality!" The red-haired woman smirked. She then brought her hand to the blonde woman's face as she whispered softly. "Soon you will once again become useful... until then rest well." At the same time a familiar tattoo appeared on the skin of the woman trap inside the block of ice. illuminating the surface of the ice causing it to glow in its vivid luminosity.
The aura of death was release from the body of the red-haired woman as she smiled.
...
Back in Kenta's location.
"... You want to know what my convictions are?" After staying silent for an unknown amount of time, Kenta spoke. He stared into the hazel eyes of Emerson and showed a small smile that caught him off guard. "Vengeance! That is my conviction. For the ones who dared to touch the things most precious to me only death awaits them!"
Hearing his response that didn't suit his age Emerson stared dumbfoundedly at Kenta for some time until, "HAHAHAHA!" He laughed as though he had heard something truly funny. For a moment the arena became silent as all the spectators watch Emerson laugh while holding his chest.
Jessica looked at Kenta closely and nodded her head, seemingly satisfied. Seeing her expression Leroux couldn't help but give Kenta a thumb-up a gesture Kenta didn't understand. After laughing for some time Emerson finally calmed down and wipe the tears gathering in the corner of his eyes.
"Not bad, kid. Vengeance is your conviction... you do realize walking down such a path can easily lead to your own death, right?" Emerson stared into Kenta's blue eyes as he asks. But Kenta nodded his head without faltering. "I'm aware of course, but even then, I won't turn back." Kenta spoke, with a serious expression.
Seeing that there was no doubt or hesitation anywhere in his gaze Emerson nodded his head as though he was satisfied. "Have you ever heard the saying 'History is written by the victors'?" Emerson asks. Kenta nodded his head in confirmation. "I see... that is good, that is a saying we, of the temple of power live by. I don't know about the other temples, nor do I care, the world we currently live in has always been this way from the very beginning." Emerson said.
"Some people live lives where to people like us seem as though they are living in heaven, while there are others who are born and thrown into the deepest depth of hell and had to climb their way to the top." Kenta didn't know why but he could feel a lot of complicated emotions coming from Emerson's voice.
"The ones who had to endure hardship are the ones who should be prideful they had reached the top... Now then I'm sure you must be bored of this old man's lecture allow me to officially welcome you to the temple of power, young Kenta." Emerson said as he stretches out his hand towards Kenta. After a few seconds Kenta's face grimaced as he slowly grasps his hand in a friendly handshake.
...
Two hours later...
Kenta after having all his injuries healed was being shown around the temple by Jessica, Leroux had something to take care of. Hence, he had left and went off on his own. The two continued to walk through the long hallway together as they view the scenery. "Umm." After a moment of silence, it was Kenta who broke the silence between them.
"Can you tell me when I start training?" Kenta asked. Hearing his question Jessica stop in her tracks. "... We have decided to allow you to start your training tomorrow along with others your age." Jessica replied. "Tomorrow, huh." Kenta frowned when hearing this. "Is there something wrong?" She asked. "Ah, no it's just... I wanted to learn a special physique to train my body." Kenta replied.
"Hm, a body physique, you say. Can you tell me the name of this physique you wish to learn?" Jessica asked, as she turned her body to face him. "Mm, it's called, Demon strengthening physique." Kenta commented.
However, upon hearing the name of the physique Jessica's eyes widens and her body shook visibly. 'Th-That physique!' There was only one person capable of learning that physique, 'Tch, that demon of a woman.' Camilia, the bringer of calamity! The woman said to be the strongest woman in the world.
Jessica had a headache just thinking about contacting that woman.
'Sigh, it seems I have no other choice... she had already destroyed many of my most powerful beasts I hope she won't challenge me to another fight.' Jessica heaved a sigh as she pointed towards a door in the far corner of the hall and gave Kenta a key.
"This will be your room from now on, I hope it's to your liking." Jessica said as she turned her back to leave. However, her calm voice sounded once again before she disappeared.
"I know someone who can potentially teach you that physique, she should arrive here within a few days, I hope you prepare yourself both physically and mentally to deal with her." Jessica said as she left. Meanwhile, Kenta stared at the space where Jessica had left strangely. 'I didn't expect to find the one I was looking for so easily. Though, judging by her warning I'm guessing things won't be so easy." Kenta sighed as he opened the door to his room.
...
Meanwhile, A few kilometers away from the temple of power there was a forest that spread far and wide. The bright blue skies stretch endlessly with many clouds drifting through the sky. The forest was filled with many exotic plants trees and flowers that grew naturally.
A small river with many beautiful looking aquatic fish could be seen swimming in the small river that went up to the mountains.
A soft gentle breeze blew as the branches of the trees swayed rhythmically by the caresses of the wind. The sound of animals could be heard occasionally in the far distance. It was a peaceful sight that would make one appreciate nature until...
BOOOOM!
A loud explosion shook the trees of the forest!
"Shit! What the hell is wrong with that woman?!" Four men wearing knightly armor could be seen running frantically through the forest, their expression as though they were facing a monster, they weren't sure they could defeat.
"Fuck! This is your fault! I told you not to provoke this mad woman!" The knight running in the lead said, complaining. "... Have you seen her thick thigh; I couldn't help it." The knight running in the back retorted. "Will you two just shut up! Ugh, I knew approaching that woman would be a mistake." Another knight said.
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
From all over the forest multiple explosions took place at once. "HAHAHAHA!" From the sky a woman with long bluish silver hair could be seen hovering in midair. The woman had skin as smooth as silk, she wore a short pants that was slightly torn up from the side, her gorgeous thighs that could easily make one gulp were visible in all their splendor, she wore a small shirt that barely hid her ample breast that threaten to burst from beneath her shirt.
Three magic formations appeared around her constantly firing blades of wind in all direction.
Watching the knights running for their lives a strong gleam appeared in her darkish green eyes. "Fools, do you actually believe you can escape me!?" Her red lips spread into a grin as she clenches her hand into a fist. "Those who looked at me with eyes filled with lust shall suffer the worst fate." She arched her arm back before thrusting forwards.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
And just like that the forest from over three thousand kilometers was completely destroyed! The vast trees practically disappeared and turned into sawdust which was easily carried away by the wind. while the mountains collapse and lost their structure.
Many unfortunate beast and monster living in the forest died as a result of her fist, while for the knights "..." They all turned into piles of flesh as their body exploded from the force of her punch. "Hmph, they died just like that, huh. What a waste of time this was." She muttered.
"I guess I need to pay that king a visit to think he would send those worthless scums to recruit me, that brat really needs to stop underestimating me." The bluish silver hair woman said, in an annoyed tone.
