Once the three headed flying beast made it through the waterfall, a large majestic looking temple appeared in Kenta's field of vision.
The temple was large and with a width of approximately 7000 kilometers wide and a length of 8000 meters tall. Kenta looked at the temple in the distance with wide eyes.
Jessica slightly turned her head to look over her shoulder, seeing Kenta's expression, she couldn't help but show a small smile.
The three headed beast soared through the sky closing the distance with the beautiful looking temple. Kenta could also see many other flying beasts he had never seen before flying around with other humans on their back.
Approaching a wide open space the three headed beast slowly descended onto the ground. "Okay, we can get off now." Jessica said, but then she frowned. "Um, Kenta you can let go now, you know?" She said noticing Kenta's hand still clung tightly to her waist, making it impossible for her to move.
"Hm? Oh, sorry." Kenta said, somewhat awkwardly, as he promptly moved his hand. "Pfft." Suddenly the sound of someone's choked laughter resounded behind him. Turning his head, he saw Leroux's looking at him with a frisky smile. 'I don't know what he is thinking but, I don't like it.' Kenta thought to himself.
Kenta, Jessica and Leroux dismounted from its back. Kenta felt happy to be on solid ground again. Though, he enjoyed the feeling of flying through the sky.
"Okay, you can go back." Jessica was gently caressing the heads of the three headed flying beast as she undone her "beast summoning magic" A Magic formation appeared on the ground as the beast disappeared.
"... Eh? What was that?" Kenta questioned, curiously. He really wanted to know where the beast went. Did it really just disappear from existence? Seeing his curious eyes Leroux chuckled slightly.
"That's summoning magic, once the user makes a contract with the summoned beast the summoner can called forth the beast to their location. However, the beast lives on an island far away, Jess simply "Summoned" It to her location, get it?" Leroux explained, as he looked at Kenta.
"... She summoned them to her location. Isn't that the same as manipulating space?" He questioned. "Hahaha. You're not wrong but, it's not that simple. It's not like she can freely control space." Leroux explained.
"A summoner can call their beast to their location simply by, connecting the space between them. In a place where spatial interference is block, I can't use summoning magic." Jessica said, she turned her attention towards the entrance of the temple and made her way there.
Leroux followed after her while Kenta followed them from behind.
Two guards could be seen standing by at the gate entrance, both dressed in armor with swords sheath at their waist.
The two guards both had a solemn expression on their faces but, when they saw the figure of Jessica, they both broke out into cold sweats, seeing this Kenta tilted his head in confusion.
Where did that dignified aura go? Why do they suddenly looked like two chickens who were caught by the neck?
"Hahaha! Don't be so surprised, didn't I tell you she was a monster." Leroux whispered. "!?" But when he saw Jessica's cold gazed being directed towards him, he coughed and turned away.
"L-Lady Jessica, please come this way!" They both said, as they moved away. They didn't even dare to look her in the eyes as though afraid of being caught by the monster before them.
Jessica didn't say anything, she was already use to such things happening. With a serene expression on her face, she walked past them and entered through the entrance of the temple.
"Good day, Sir Leroux!" They both said, as they bowed their heads. Leroux nodded his head and moved passed them. However, when their eyes met with Kenta, they both narrowed their eyes as a dangerous pressure was released from their body, "State your business here!" They spoke, simultaneously.
Kenta froze in his spot as he felt the dangerous pressure being release from their body, suddenly his legs trembled as though some mysterious force was trying to push him down to the ground. He was being forced to kneel! Him! Kneeling!
That thought agitated him, he refused to be forced to kneel before his opponent, Kenta gritted his teeth as he forced himself to stay up on his two feet.
Seeing him standing on his two legs the guards were slightly amazed but... 'This brat doesn't know his place!' They thought increasing the pressure from being forced down onto Kenta's body.
Finally, Kenta's legs gave out and just when he was about to fall "!!!" A pressure hundreds of times worse than the two guards was released, "Oi! I don't remember giving you permission to obstruct his path, did I?" Jessica questioned; her tone as cold as ice. The two guards were forced down onto the ground.
"P... P-please forgive us! We didn't know he was with you!" One of the guards shouted as his vision became blurry. Finally, Jessica's aura of dominance slowly receded and disappeared completely. "Cough, cough." The two guards coughed heavily once that pressure was finally gone.
"Good, next time you won't get another chance." Jessica said as she walked away. Leroux could only look at the guards with some pity, even he wasn't brave enough to provoke her.
Kenta looked at Jessica's back strangely while finally understanding something. 'No wonder they keep calling her a monster.' He thought.
Kenta moves passed the guards and entered the temple. No conversations happened after that. They just slowly made their way to their destination.
A destination that was currently unknown to Kenta who was lost in thought. 'If regular guards were that strong, just how strong are the higher ups of this place?' He couldn't help but wonder.
'Will I really be able to reach that level of power?' Kenta clenched his fist tightly. He really hated the fact that he was so weak, he needed to work even harder to increase his strength! "I have a month. Should be plenty of time." He quietly muttered.
Along the way Kenta observed the interior of the temple, despite the fact this place was here for probably millions of years, he notices the walls and columns were in perfect condition. It was like they were made just yesterday. Nothing was out of place.
Another thing that caught his eyes were the statue of a woman carrying a sword and shield. 'The war goddess, huh.' Kenta observed the face of the woman and narrowed his eyes slightly. Something about the statues gave him a bad feeling, he could detect tracing of some unfamiliar energy, no it wasn't unfamiliar. 'This energy, it reminds me of when I first met Agni.' Kenta thought.
'Agni, can you hear me?' He asked. [...] However, he got no response. 'Sigh, I guess it's asleep.' Kenta gave up thinking about it and continue to follow both Jessica and Leroux.
As they continued to traverse through the long hallway of the temple. They passed many people holding either swords or spears and several other weapons. They bowed deeply at both Jessica and Leroux, while looking at Kenta with curiosity.
There were also many people his age moving around, sending him glances from time to time, but Kenta kept an indifferent expression on his face as he followed after Jessica and Leroux's backs.
They went up a long staircase and arrived before a double door, with a giant fist symbol on either side. Just as Jessica was about to open the door, they heard a loud voice came from within.
"Pathetic! You wish to join the 'seven swords' With that shameful swordcraft! Get the fuck out of my face!" Soon, a strong gust of wind blew as the doubled door flew opened! A large body was suddenly sent flying in their direction.
Jessica and Leroux both moved to either side, while Kenta lowered his center of gravity.
Swoosh!
A strong wind blew as a body was sent flying over Kenta's head!
BANG! BANG! BANG!
The body of the man rolled across the staircase like a volleyball and landed heavily onto the ground with a heavy thud! The man was completely unconscious with the white of his eye showing, with his body convulsing.
"Damn, looks like the old man is having fun, as usual." Leroux commented, somewhat unsurprisingly. "... Well, he is probably board sitting down sipping tea all day." Jessica spoke, indifferently. "..." Kenta's poker face was showing signs of breaking as he observed the sight before him.
'What the hell is this? Is that guy even still alive?' He couldn't help but wonder, Kenta looked at Jessica and Leroux strangely. Even though he didn't say anything his gazed implicitly said. "Why are you guys acting like this is a daily occurrence, it isn't like that right? Right?"
Stomp! Stomp! Stomp!
The sound of footsteps could be heard coming from the entrance as an aura filled with power cover the area! The aura coming from the entrance was by far the strongest aura Kenta had ever felt in his life! It was like the aura of a wild beast!
