On the outside of the building, under the clear blue skies that stretched as far as the eyes could see the sun was still out filling the world with much of its warm radiance.
On the left side of the inn, Kenta was resting a figure could be seen gazing at him through the opened window.
The woman had her long ponytail swaying gently in the cool wind as she observed him with a serene expression on her face. "Should I attack now?" A cold yet melodious voice sounded between those luscious red lips as she narrowed her eyes.
The orders were to capture him and bring him back alive, which means Wyatt probably wants to kill him himself. The young black-haired woman was rather indecisive about her next actions. 'What an unusual aura.' She thought to herself, the aura surrounding Kenta was rather peculiar in her eyes. She had never felt anything like it in her entire life. She could easily feel danger and yet, there was a strange feeling of peace emanating from his aura.
Soon... the black-haired woman glanced around her surroundings with a thoughtful expression on her face, "It's too crowded, maybe I should attack once the sun sets." She muttered as her body became a blur and she disappeared from that spot.
Many people could be seen moving around the crowded streets.
No one notice that someone was standing on top of a building observing them mere moments ago as her presence was hidden. However, not far away.
"Interesting." Jessica who was observing the area around the inn from the eyes of her flying beast said aloud. "Hm... Interesting? What's interesting?" Leroux asked, confused. They were walking through the streets together but, he didn't have a way of observing the area like Jessica could.
"It seems they are already after him. That man works fast." She replied. A look of amusement appeared on her face.
'Though, I guess I shouldn't be surprised, anyone with enough influence could have spies freely moving around.' She thought, "Well, isn't that bad should we move fast to get to the boy? If he dies all our time would be wasted." Leroux said, frowning. However, just as he was about to increase his speed Jessica's small and delicate hand stop him.
"... If he dies, then it just means we were wrong about him." She said in a detached tone. "Besides... his spy is a very troublesome woman.... it seems he managed to get someone from that clan of ninja who lived far in the northern mountains." Jessica explained.
"Eh? That clan... I'm surprised one of them would be in a city like this." Leroux scratches the back of his head and he sighed. "So, what now?" He questioned. "We wait... personally, I'd like to see more of that boy's capability. Let's see if he has what it takes to survive this new threat." She answered, as her red lips turned upwards.
'Unlike those incompetent bodyguards of that spoiled 'Young master' This woman is many times more dangerous, let's see what other abilities you got up your sleeves.' She secretly thought.
....
Meanwhile, somewhere in the city of Azuri...
Michael Mathew was currently lounging within a mansion that was three times as big as his sister's orphanage.
He sat down alone sipping tea prepared by one of the maids that was serving him.
Knock! Knock!
Soon a knock came from the door, he sent one of the maids a sidelong glance, understanding his intentions she bowed her head reverently before opening up the door, standing in the hallway was a middle-aged man dressed in a knight attire, with a longsword sheath at his waist.
His black hair was slit back and his beard trim perfectly.
Upon seeing the man standing behind the door, the maids eyes widen slightly as she took a step back and lowered her head before promptly moving to the side.
The man was one of the three generals serving the king of the entire nation. And the one who holds the title as the "Kings right hand" Not only was his title was known around the entire country but also, his strength was well respected by all!
Within the entire country his strength was definitely among the top three most powerful beings that shouldn't be underestimated. Upon noticing the identity of the man who came in Michael hurriedly got to his feet and bowed his head. "Oh, Sir John, please have a seat." He said before gesturing towards a vacant seat.
The man who goes by the name John said nothing and seated himself on the opposite side of Michael. His gaze showed nothing but complete indifference as he looked at the man before him. In terms of status John had far surpassed Michael as he was the right hand of the king himself.
Meanwhile, the corners of Michael's mouth were twitching as he kept his calm expression. Out of all the royal knight the man before him was by far the most prideful and arrogant. His reputations weren't that good because of this personality of his.
However, no one were brave enough to openly mock him or rebuke him, those who are dumb enough to show their contempt would definitely be beheaded by his longsword, a magic sword that had slayed more than hundreds of lives on the battlefield.
"Sir John, what brings you here today?" Michael asked, as he took a sip of tea. Before answering his question John looked at the young maid who had just placed a cup of tea before him and ordered coldly. "You, leave." The young maid froze for a second as she felt a powerful pressure descended onto her body.
Her beautiful face paled and sweat slid down her face as for a moment she had the vision that she was standing in a completely different place surrounded by hundreds of corpses laying around her. "Make sure no one interrupts our discussion." He further said. The young maid could only nod her head weakly as she felt that powerful pressure suddenly faded completely.
Once the maid left and the door was closed with a soft bang, Michael who had just placed his teacup onto the table sighed as he said. "Sir John... could you not bully my servants?" Hearing his words John blink blankly back at him confused. "Bully.... you think I was bullying her? Hmph, if I was then she would have fallen to her knees already with wet panties." He muttered under his breath.
Meanwhile, Michael was trying to keep his calm expression from breaking but was having difficulty, as the corner of his lips trembled a few times. "Cough, a-anyway.... can you tell me the purpose of your sudden visit?" Michael asked, finally getting into the main topic. John's expression also became serious as his eyes became sharp. "It's about the recent attack on your sister's orphanage." He said in a serious tone.
"Oh, so... does that mean you were able to find the one responsible?" Michael asked, his tone laced with anger which was failed to be hidden. John nodded his head, and a somber expression was formed on his face. "We were able to identify one of the bodies you brought back. Apparently, the ones who attacked your sister's mansion were from a criminal organization." He replied.
Hearing this information Michael wasn't surprised, at the end of the day Barat was a big kingdom. The numbers of organization within the kingdom were so large that the number couldn't be estimated, and that's the one's which were currently known. As for the ones unknown no one has any information on that.
"After we found the base of this organization, many of the royal knights tried capturing them but... unfortunately. That base was empty by the time they got there and that's not all..." A bitter grimaced appeared on John's face as he explained. "Did something else happened?" Michael inquired, noticing the slight hesitation in John's eyes.
"Sigh, among those who were sent there only two knights had manage to return safely, those bastards planted explosive magic all over the base effectively destroying all evidence of their existence." John said, regretfully.
"..." A heavy silence suddenly filled the room as Michael just gazed incredulously at John. 'Explosive magic? Isn't that a rare type of magic that only few possessed?' He wondered. "Sigh." Michael heaved an exhausted sigh as he slumps back onto the soft cushions of his seat. "If they went through the troubles of destroying everything then... could they be hiding something?" Michael wondered aloud.
"Indeed, that's what I thought as well but, the only way to know for sure is to find them and interrogate them personally." John said. "Yes, but how exactly do we do that?" Michael inquired, curiously. "Now that they made such a bold move, they probably won't be doing anything for some time." Michael continued.
John could only nod his head with an annoyed expression. "What about his majesty? What are his thoughts?" Michael questioned. "His majesty decided to leave them for the time being, at the moment he is already busy dealing with the relationships between the Barat kingdom and the kingdom of Alilia. His son will soon marry the first princess." John explained.
Hearing this Micheal widen his eyes in realization, it wasn't that long ago he had received a letter explaining about that in detailed from the king.
"Ah, right this news will definitely make the two kingdoms join hands." Michael nodded his head in understanding, although it as irritating not being able to find the ones responsible for his sister's death, there was nothing he could do at the moment.
"We will deal with those bastards when the time comes but, until then try to hold back your anger a little bit longer." John said, as he stood up. However, before he could leave Michael asked another question.
"Did you find anything about a young man named Kenta? He was one of the orphans among the many orphans, body was not found anywhere." Michael asked.
He was curious about the fate of the young boy named Kenta. However, as for that person in question. He was currently sleeping peacefully not knowing a great danger loomed over his head at the moment.
Standing inside the dark room a figure could be seen in the darkness. From the small and curvy silhouette, the figure was a woman.
She was standing only a few meters away from a bed as a young blonde-haired boy's head could be seen sticking out of the covers.
