On the outside of the domain created by the god of death an heated battle was taking place.
BOOOOOOOOM!
A loud explosion reverberated across the land as the structure of the landscape changed drastically! Many dirt and debris were sent flying in various direction!
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
The sound of constant clashing could be heard from within the dust cloud as Lincoln and Charles both exchange blows! The two brandish their respective weapons as they moved through the desolate fields with swift and nimble movements!
The god of earth, Charles swung his giant hammer towards Lincoln's head attempting to finish him off with a heavy strike but, Lincoln easily guessed his intention as his body reacted instinctively, he narrowed his eyes increasing his perception as he read the path of trajectory of Charles's hammer at the same time, he swung his sword attempting to block his fatal strike!
BANG!
A thunderous sound echoed as their weapons clashed! A powerful wave spread through the surroundings instantly dispersing the dense dust clouds. Their figures were now fully revealed as they gazed at the other.
Lincoln's armor was full of cracks and broken fragments blood oozed through the small openings, his face also had blood sliding down from the side, but it didn't ruin his handsome face in anyway. As for the god of earth, Charles he was in perfect condition as though he hadn't taken a single damage since the fight had started. Though, Lincoln wasn't surprised the body of a God couldn't be harm so easily after all!
Lincoln staggered to his feet as his breathing quicken, he could feel intense pain throughout his entire body, but his face still showed great calmness as though he refused to show any weakness towards his enemies.
Lincoln looked at the state of his injured body and frown, during his clash with the god of earth, he had ignored all defense and only focus on offense instead, and even though he had been serious throughout this fight he hadn't been able to land a single blow since the beginning.
Realizing how helpless his current situation was Lincoln couldn't help but grit his teeth with a frustrated look, it was the first time he had felt this weak! This feeling he really hated it, 'Sigh, calm down don't get emotional.... emotions are unnecessary in battle such useless things should be discarded.' He thought, taking deep breaths to calm down the burning feeling rising in his chest.
Lincoln got into a stance with his sword held in his hand, his eyes were cold as his expression showed no sign of exhaustion or weariness. He stabilizes his distorted breathing allowing his mind to reach the most optimal state for combat, meanwhile, Charles narrowed his eyes at Lincoln seeing him in such a state he realizes that his opponent will now fight with more vigor than before, 'Foolish, do you think you will be able to defeat me by calming your mind? I guess the stupidity of mortals will never change.' He thought, sighing.
"Allow me to show you the difference between heaven and earth, young man." Charles said, raising his giant hammer over his shoulders. His silky hair fluttered gently in the wind as he waited for Lincoln to make the first move.
After a few seconds of silence Lincoln was the first to moved, he moved swiftly with great speed easily closing the distance between them but, he didn't attack immediately instead. He moved behind Charles aiming at his blind spot swinging his sword diagonally sideways but.
"Hmph." It was as if Charles had eyes at the back of his head as he promptly moved to the side easily evading the blade of Lincoln's sword, Charles then swung his giant hammer towards Lincoln's chest, seeing the hammer coming towards him he raised his sword to block the attack.
BOOOM!
Both their weapons collided but Lincoln was left staggering on his feet while Charles stayed steady on his two feet. His expression didn't change as he moved gracefully slashing at Charles neck attempting to decapitate him, "Naive." Charles spats coldly.
".... !"
Lincoln widens his eyes as many earth spikes suddenly protrudes from the ground blocking his path, however, Lincoln stayed calm as he moved with swift footwork dodging the earth spikes that comes in his path.
'How annoying.' Lincoln thought, as he slashes with his sword destroying the many earth spikes that obtrude his path.
The blade of his sword suddenly released a faint light as Lincoln slashed horizontally with his sword releasing an arc of light towards the earth spikes.
Seeing the arc of light coming in his direction Charles sneered coldly as he held his giant hammer upwards before bringing it downwards with full force!
BOOOOOOOOM!!
A loud explosion took place as a cloud of dust billowed and spread across the land covering approximately 10 kilometers away. Seeing the cloud of dust coming his way Lincoln squinted his eyes as he subconsciously covered his mouth and braced his sword!
Once the dust had subsided Lincoln widen his eyes as he saw the god of earth standing within a giant crater that appeared to be 30 cm wide and 10 meters deep. The arc of light he had fired moments ago was completely destroyed by the God of earth, Charles's attack.
"Tch." Lincoln clicks his tongue in frustration as he saw the expression on Charles face. He wasn't even looking at him as though he was saying he wasn't worthy, this only made Lincoln even more motivated to face him!
Holding his sword sideways he closed his eyes as he muttered. "Dark clones." Once those words were uttered, Lincoln's body was enveloped in a dark light as the shadow beneath his feet expanded taking shape, two identical clones that resemble him appeared on either side of him, both had sword made completely from shadow!
Seeing this Charles raised an eyebrow, "Oh, do you think you can win if there are more of you, perhaps? Very well I'll humor you." He said, as he placed his hammer downwards.
Lincoln didn't reply as his two clones made the first move dashing forward to close the distance. Charles created two swords made entirely from earth and to block the attack from the two clones, with their weapons lock together Charles manipulates the earth to create earth spears attempting to pierce their bodies but, as though guessing his intentions the two clones promptly moved back evading the spear.
They both moved coordinately while watching out for each other's blind spots, whenever Charles would swing his sword towards one of their back the other would intercept his attack immediately protecting the other, in the end Charles was being forced back as they both moved in perfect synchronization blocking all his attacks while attacking at the same time.
"Tch, I must acknowledge you have incredible swordsmanship.... but that alone won't be able to defeat me. Do you have anything else up your sleeve?" Charles questioned, as he looked into the direction where the real Lincoln seemed to be preparing some kind of attack.
Lincoln body was covered in some kind of dark aura as he held his sword firmly.
He gritted his teeth as he felt all the muscles in his body expanded and bulged, he wasn't planning on using this attack but, against the god of earth who had incredibly tough skin he had no choice, this attack was not only fast but also had high attacking power behind its force! His clones had been able to keep him busy but, they won't last much longer, he decided to finish things off with his next attack.
Pointing his sword towards Charles he moved his right leg forward as he bent his left leg; the dark aura shrouded his body slowly moved to the blade of his sword creating another layer of power over the blade.
CLANG! CLANG!
The other two clones sensed that the attack was ready locked blades with Charles who easily delt with all their previous attacks so for but...
"!!"
Unexpectedly they both discarded their swords as they both instantly moved towards his body grabbing his arms and holding his back preventing him from evading the attack of the original Lincoln. "Tch, damn clones! Get off me!" Charles bellowed as he tried freeing himself from their hold but, just then...
"Super acceleration!" Lincoln roared, before he charged into the direction where Charles was being held down by his two clones, the tip of his blade aimed at Charles abdomen. A small crater formed from his feet as he traveled at a high-speed closing the distance between himself and Charles creating an arc of black light behind him!
'Super acceleration' An attack that allows the user to travel at high speed, where the user is able to move outside the field of gravity for a split second! Due to traveling at such a speed the attack from the blade is also amplify greatly giving them incredible piercing and attacking power!
Before Charles mind were able to comprehend the situation Lincoln's sword was already inches away from making contact with his body!
BOOOOOOOOOOOM!
A loud explosion reverberated as a cloud of dust spread across the land, a strong gust of wind shot out in a circle formation around Lincoln once he had made it to his target.
He couldn't see the god of earth due to the cloud of dust but, he felt the blade of his sword had made contact with Charles, he also heard the sound of flesh being pierced.
Finally, the dust clouds subsided, he could now see the god of earth but, the God of earth, Charles had held onto his blade with blood dripping down his hand, the sword also penetrated through his chest, as blood could be seen there, he wasn't able to see Charles's expression as his hair was covering face.
"!!!!"
A tremendous pressure was released from Charles body causing Lincoln to step back subconsciously. Something wasn't right he felt a bad premonition. As though answering that the ground beneath his feet started shaking as though an earthquake was about to occur!
"..... I never thought such a day would come, to think a mere mortal would dare to inflict injury onto my divine body.... very well If you want death so badly then. I Charles, the God of earth, shall send you to your grave!" Charles exclaimed.
Causing the earth to quake even more!
