When Kenta had awoken from his sleep it was already mid-day in the morning, the sun shone brightly in the western sky, the city of Zaril had once again became noisy from the many people outside. However, Kenta stayed sitting on his bed.
The god of death, Hendrix, the fact that the 'Soul eater' sword is in my hand means that the previous owner has already died but, was it even possible to kill someone who could easily control death and souls at will? Kenta made a dubious face.
Even if there were such a person who could it be? He was supposed to be the strongest god of that time unless... did all the gods face him together?
Was he really such a scary existence that the gods became so fearful of him? Kenta sighed.
'Come to me.' he called for his beloved sword in his mind.
Instantly a magic circle appeared as the sword materialized inside his hand. The broad sword felt extremely heavy, and the black blade of the sword had purple highlights tracing the various marking on the sword.
"What could have caused this changed? And why did you appear before me?" he asked even though he knew no one could give him any answers. He wasn't expecting an answer anyway.
He couldn't stop thinking about that dream he had last night it clearly wasn't just a random dream, he could still vividly remember the woman's face as well as her voice inside his head.
Just by feeling her aura he knew that the woman in his dream was extremely powerful back in her time of glory but, even she was easily defeated by him and sealed away forced to wonder as a mere soul for eternity.
Kenta narrowed his blue colored eyes as he finally got to his feet and was about to leave. 'Hmm, she said he was called the god of war, isn't that the same name as the person written on that book, Lauren had?" Kenta said recalling the book he had seen just the other day. 'Maybe I should ask her to lend me whenever I see her again.' he thought.
Information regarding the god of old aren't well known in the current era, most gods don't allow information about themselves to spread so, it made sense that the common people won't have information about them.
The ones that were well known are the demigods but, even they never show themselves to the common people.
Many of the common people even think of them as nothing more than a myth.
Kenta also had no intentions of getting involved with the gods or demigods he just wanted his revenged, as long as they don't come down here and get in his way, he decided to ignore their presence.
Kenta hurriedly got dressed, today is the day he was going to put his plan in motion, the plan that will help him grow strong quickly. He was also eager to test out his magic as well to see his current limits with the lightning element.
He took up his shirt that was hung up on a shirt rack inside the closet, when he saw the state, his shirt was in, he frowns deeply remembering that he needed to buy new clothes. "Sigh, I guess I should also stop by a clothes store on my way." He muttered. Before getting ready to leave.
....
Meanwhile... as Kenta was getting ready to leave.
Outside in a luxurious carriage making its way through the city of Zaril. A woman could be seen seated inside with her legs folded. The woman had long purple hair and deep violet-colored eyes, she casually looked out the window viewing the city outside.
It was the same woman Kenta had passed at the Inn the other day.
On her right was a bulky man with black hair donning a white robe with a golden dragon on the back. On his lap was a scabbard with a silver hilt coming out.
The man leaned back and rested his head as he glanced at the woman beside him from the corner of his eyes.
"How long until we get there?" he inquired. They were both powerful sorcerer and swordman who holds high positions in the kingdom of Malibu a powerful nation located south.
Normally they wouldn't have come to a minor nation like Barat for negotiation but, they needed permission from the true king that rules over the entire country before they can have access to the ruins they wish to explore, going there without permission would easily offend the entire nation putting their own country at risk of war. "..."
The purple haired woman stayed silent with her head still turned to the window, only the sound of the rattling of the carriage wheel could be heard. "Yawn, you really have a bad habit of ignoring people who are talking to you, don't you." the black-haired man said lazily.
".... It will take us roughly three more days to get to the city of Azuri." she said in a faint voice. "Oh, Hahaha! I hope there are some strong people there to keep me entertained at least for a bit." the black-haired man said laughing heartily. Hearing that Eleanora frowns slightly. "Don't forget why we're here." she said in a serious tone.
"Yeah, I know. This country is one of the weakest anyway I doubt there are that many powerful sorcerers or skilled swordsman here." The black-haired man said shrugging his shoulders lightly. Eleanora narrowed her violet eyes as she observed him, when she sees him putting his hands behind his head and closing his eyes she sighed once before looking out the window.
'Underestimating a kingdom like this is not a wise decision, I hope you don't go fooling around too much and make this difficult for us.' she thought, recalling the young blonde-haired boy she had saw the other day. He had an aura she had never felt before. She couldn't let her guard down while knowing that such an unknown exists.
She couldn't understand what that pressure was she felt at that time, even when she tried seeing through his strength, she couldn't see anything! It was as if she was looking at an endless abyss. The feeling she had at that time still continued to bother her even now but... "Sigh, maybe I'm just over thinking things." she told herself.
...
Inside the city of Azuri inside a particular building.
"Don't mess with me!"
BOOM!!
A loud scream followed by a loud booming sounded, inside one of the many rooms of the building a huge dent could be seen on the white wall as pieces of broken door fell everywhere. Micah had just heard the reports of the raid on the Matthew's mansion five of their fellow people were to steal the lunar stone but, not only did that mission failed miserably but, Micah's younger brother, Grayson had lost his life.
Everyone within the room had paled expressions on their faces as they felt the powerful killing intent from Micah, Grayson was his younger brother who he had adored he was also his only family he had left.
The burning urge to kill the bastards responsible for his death burned within him.
Micah turned his head towards the man dressed in a coat that had a hood concealing his face with a fury that could scare anyone. "You! You better explain to me in detailed what the hell happened there!" his voice thundered inside the room.
Feeling the killing intent coming from Micah the hooded man smirk. "Are you sure you're in a position where you should be barking orders at me? If I remember correctly, I told you to steal the lunar stone for me and I would repay you greatly if you do, we hadn't decided a date for the raid yet, had we?" the hooded man asked, tilting his head slightly.
Hearing his words Micah frowns while clenching his fist, it was taking him a great deal of effort not to kill the man before him.
As though guessing that the man continued. "But not only did you guys ignored my proposal, but you also tried to steal it for yourselves, don't you think it's a bit cruel to blame me for your own mistakes?" he asked.
"Don't act all innocent! The fact that you knew those fellows had died meant that you were there, right?" Micah asked, narrowing his eyes.
"Tell me who did it?! I never heard anything of the Matthew's territory having powerful guards."
"Hahaha.... your right that territory didn't have powerful guards but, it wasn't the guards who had killed them but someone else, as for who that person is I think it's best for you to find out on your own."
The hooded man said smiling.
Even he didn't know what will happened now, the soul eater sword had finally showed itself after being gone for billions of years, if those people from up above hear of this things will be troublesome.
The hooded man looked into the far distant it was unclear who he was talking about but, he looked into a particular direction with narrowed eyes...
