Adelaide kept asking about the Underground Serpent and what Stephan destroyed to defeat it. It would hard to survive the magma inside it. The little twist was that the Underground Serpent was just a giant stomach and it was easy to reach the heart from inside. In other words, it was the only way to destroy such a thing.
"I didn't know that; the book didn't say anything about it," Adelaide pouted as she fixed her wound and stitched it together again.
