"Yes, our friend there catching the rabbit might want to eat something tasty tonight. Who knows? Maybe it's the last time we will eat with them," he grinned, replying to her previous question.

Adelaide seemed to think about his words carefully. Stephan wasn't the kind of person that would speak of anything unworthy of, even when he joked. However, lately, he never joked and he never seemed to smile unless something good with his training happened. Several times, she tried to make fun of him but he didn't seem to get a hold of her jokes so she gave it up. Nevertheless, he laughed with the others normally; she was the outcast.

It was strange he was smiling at her and moving his eyes from her face to the man who followed them. There had to be something wrong with him or he would do something bad.
