Chapter 249 - A prison

All of a sudden, Stephan realized something that he didn't notice. He always took it for granted that Abnu and Gerald were with him. When he was pushed into the dream, they weren't there so he assumed they were still outside, as always. He slept and they were around, chatting and waiting for him to wake up. However, this time, they were right there, both of them.

His eyes widened in shock. He glanced at them again and then turned to Mike, recalling how he called him a friend. He never saw their interactions as friends. He looked at him more like a companion, someone he was forced to be with because it didn't make sense that someone was willing to stick to him.

It was actually fair to say that he assumed everyone who knew Maddock beforehand wouldn't accept him; they would scorn him for taking a body that wasn't his.
