Chapter 103 - It wasn't the book after all

The book called out to him. It inspired drenched tragedy and mystic disbelief. The cover was empty; it looked like a diary. However, a diary wouldn't be that big and voluminous. Even if one wanted to steal it, it wouldn't fit under clothes. The papers appeared yellow from the side, showing how old it must have been since it was written.

Since it was a book within the tower of knowledge, why didn't it talk, fly or move? After yesterday's events, he understood quite a bit about how the tower worked. The lost and forgotten books didn't talk but they could fly and had barely noticeable small feet. They had their own cemetery at the deepness of the tower, at the lower part of it, showing how the dead lived underground while the living existed above. There was no staircase to reach their place. Those books were meant to stay there without any means to get to them while they were buried in their box-like coffins.
